Its easy to tell if your a southern or northern state by simply walking into a local eating establishment and ordering the nectar of the Gods, SWEET ICE TEA! If the server looks at you like you have a thrid eye or says somthing outlandish like "raspberry tea" then you sir/maam are in occupied yankee territory, otherwise enjoy the stars and bars. BTW no self respecting southerner would be caught dead drinking a pop, soda, Coke or whatever when sweet tea is available.

Another underlying theme here - which is hard reality - is that people from the NE who make fun of, or stereotype southerners really need to check themselves.
The majority of the NE is more hillbilly backwards, racist, and dumbfvck provincial than anywhere in the US. And the "mid-atlantic" states are no exception.
And if VA isn't the south then neither are the Carolinas.
