    Jourdan Lewis>Terry Richardson

After seeing them both play on a couple occasions last season, I felt similarly. However, both were clearly high-level D-1 prospects.

Reuben Foster drops in the rankings to No.7 Warm - Posts: 3 - Views: 353 - Started by: The Auburn Guy The Auburn Guy1553 posts "This is positive no matter which way you look at it. When Reuben Foster and Nkmediche were both considered locks to bama, they were coined "franchise" players by the people who run the site. They ranked these 2 both so high that they would have been considered the top prospects in the country, even last year when they were only juniors. They would have been ahead of DGB and all those other folks. Nkmediche commits to clemson. Reuben Foster moves to Auburn. Reuben Foster drops to No.7 in the country. Montravious now moves to no.2, without performing at any camps. No-show at the rivals100 challenge, and he gets bumped up to the No.2 player. He is considered a Clemson / AU battle. Theres alot fishy about this particular ranking update." 2 hours ago

You cant compare the competition between the two there Jones has to be given the benefit of the doubt there. Tenpenney plays in Arkansas, Jones in GAs 5A against some of the best teams in the country and he put up 2400 yards thats pretty sick.

He also has arguably the best Offensive line in the nation and definitely the best in GA. Damn he is the 5th ranked back, just stop trying...

Not to mention Walton couldn't get a point on Grayson, much like my team..Difference is our O-Line average 5-11 225LBs.

Not going to lie...his weight could become an issue IMO. That said, his HS film is the best I have ever seen from any prospect at the LB position...EVER.

I can't argue on the film.

What's the word on Ty Isaac? Moving up or staying put?

If up just a little, though we did find out he has elite hands out there.

What about Ryan Green and Ira Denson? Where do they end up?

Green up near the top of the APB rankings nationally. Denson up near the top of OG.

JC, what is the reasoning behind JD Lewis dropping? Is it size?

I am not sure he's dropping. I said I thought he was. I just know he's likely not moving into the Top247.

    JC - I am curious

What is your football background? Have you ever been a college or NFL scout or in a player personel position at any level? What was your playing experience? Have you ever coached at the HS or college level? Your bio just shows your journalism endeavors. Is there anything else?

    Just wondering and thanks.

I played football in high school and have been doing this for a decade. I have hits and misses just like everyone, including those player personnel folks you speak of.

I am in charge and run the show, but I don't do the rankings solo. Gerry, who has a better track record with evaluations than anyone in our business, makes the final call on players if there is a dispute. Everybody should be judged on their track record in this business, not by playing, coaching or scouting for an NFL or college team. Gerry was the only analyst in the country to have Robert Woods as the to receiver in 2010 and followed that up with being the only analyst in the country to have Sammy Watkins No. 1 in 2011. There are countless other examples of him having a proven eye for talent.

Thanks - IMO the best thing any recruiting site does is keeping fans in the know of what recruits are saying/thinking and providing info on what they are hearing 24-7 does a great job of this - ranking how a HS kid will develop in college is a nearly impossible task for anyone. I don't know why fans get so worked up over rankings, if you have a kid with a ton of big-ime offers from around the country he is a good get regardless of where he is rated. The numbers show that if a kid is ranked 200 or 50th he has about an equal chance of success or failure if you look at rankings 5 years later. Thanks for the response - you guys are on really on top of getting the info out to the fans.

His offensive line last year had one D1 prospect ...Kublanow...no other major D1 recruits... Couple kids going to Citadel and other small schools. Hardly best in nation... And even with that line Tyren had to make a lot of people miss in backfield or in the hole. Listen son, I know you are at Kell but you are misguided. For comparison, and you can ask Jonathan Dwyer and he would agree, Tyren is multiple times better than Dwyer and Dwyer was a hell of a high school and college back. The kid has superior RB skills for HS back. And to your point on grayson, Tyren got more yards on Grayson than any other back all season.
