New Georgia Abortion Law......passed

Wow. Did you really just advise me to kill myself because I disagree with you?

No. Not at all. I advised you to kill yourself because you're subhuman, mentally inept, and already likely clinically dead anyway. I'd just enjoy knowing your brains had been splattered all over a wall. In the unlikely case that you actually do have some sort of brain activity going on, we'd have the added benefit of knowing that your genes have been removed from the pool.

Woa, woa. Easy there with the barbarian hate, bro.

Glad to hear from you devidee. I'm not sure what else to call painfully tearing the flesh away from an unborn human being who hasn't done anything wrong.

ramssuperbowl99 is the only one in this thread who has posted anything remotely based on reason.

Actually, he hasn't. He has posted a few talking points that in no way represent a logical thought process.

Yep. A child is dependent for years on others to care for them. Only difference, we can all hear them cry, only a mother feels them kick.

And I swear it is just about the coolest thing ever (feeling them kick).

Have fun guys. I'm buried today and will go into lurk status on TT.

Thanks for the compliment. That's why I force people to think their line of reasoning through. Saying that the unborn human being has no rights is preposterous, unless we want to become barbarians. It's really more about modern Americans wanting to act irresponsibly and selfishly than about rights.

Considering I've used the word right about a million times in this topic, yeah I'd say it's more about rights than people wanting to act selfishly...

I've also repeatedly said that I don't like abortion, wouldn't ever have my significant other get one, and wouldn't perform one.

I just don't like imposing my morality on other people without some type of logical backing.

    How is this not bannable?

No they aren't. You can give them up for adoption, but you like your kids so you choose to keep them around.

Adoption doesn't involve violently taking away the life of another human being who cannot defend themselves. Not an apples to apples analogy, and not even close. And, it's not about liking my kids. I actually don't always" like" my kids. But, I always love them and feel a tremendous amount of responsibilty towards them.

Which is why you keep them around. But you are free, if you wanted, to get rid of them through an adoption agency. A pregnant woman does not have that same ability until post birth.

Therefore, she is not free unless she has the ability to abort the fetus.

I'm not arguing against "rights." I've only said that you're notion of the mother's rights w/o the unborn human being having any "rights" is logically untenable. I commend you on your personal stance. And, it's not imposing your morality when the other person's ideas are immoral.

Relative to your last statement. I do not allow the running platform of a politician relative to abortion decide my vote and here is why:

    Regan - Pro-life - 8 years in office
Bush - Pro- life - 4 years in office
    Clinton - Pro-choice - 8 years in office
    Bush - Pro-life - 8 years in office
Obama - Pro-choice - currently in office for almost 4 years

    Pro-life - 20 years in office
    Pro-choice - 12 years in office

8 more years in office for Pro-life and NOTHING has changed!!!! That means 8 more years of appointing judges ect...... And nothing has changed.

It is a bogus platform used to garner a populations vote. Nothing more.

I hate abortion, with all of my heart, but what I typed above speaks for itself.

    Thank you for getting it.

The platform is bs and none of the conservatives even want to challenge it because it would kill the cause.

Logically, mothers have legal rights, unborn fetuses do not.

Likewise. I'm going to try to push a bill that would keep you out of the voting booth. It wouldn't be like those old bills that required intelligence testing that used to be pushed. This one would only scan for brain waves. If a single wave were detected, the person could vote. This would eliminate you.

That's exactly when it is imposing your morality.

You basically just said, "I only force people to do the right thing when they are doing the wrong thing!"

Ah yes, as it is a well known scientific fact that people can still type words into a keyboard without any electrical impulses in the brain.

Please continue to illuminate the thread with your well thought out arguments and coherent statements.
