Yep, it's an estimated $4M tab for the cost of flying AF1, security, secret service, police overtime, etc. Unsurprisingly, it costs a lot of money to ensure our president doesn't get assassinated. I do like how you conveniently leave out the fact that Obama is actually footing the cost of the house the family is renting.
Also, Bush spent over $20M on flights alone to and from his Texas Ranch, not counting all the additional costs of security and secret service work. I didn't ever hear you complain about that.
Should our presidents just fly coach without a security detail?

I do not care what any President has done in the past. Our country HAS NEVER been in debt like we presently are. It doesn't make me feel any better that he is paying for the rental house. He can do what most of us do, stay home at Christmas… or go somewhere within the budget. (What is wrong with Camp David?) Bush made many mistakes, especially during his 2nd term… I never was praising Bush in my post. Obama needs to set an example. Four Million is a junk of change…one that our country can not afford.
