remove FSU and add South Carolina in their place and I agree with this list.

You would be right around FSU, maybe higher if you still had Lattimore

    how to fix NCAA football

each team plays 8 conference games. in large conferences, they should use ascendency, such as the Premier League does in soccer.

after these 8 games, set up a 64 team tourney like the NCAA tournament.

no team gets a bye or plays any crappy high schools.

    crown a real champion

    bow

64 might be a bit much, but I like the idea of this

I think 16, or the top 4 from each of the 4 super conferences

Agree. In a power poll (which is basically what you have made) SCar doesn't belong in the top 15 without Lattimore.

Bingo. I'd love to see Oregon and especially K-State or ND go to Tiger Stadium at night then follow up with A&M the next week.

Yeah Oregon playing @usc @cal vs Stan @ore state vs USC/ucla in 5 consecutive weeks is just a cake walk.

No way we could play lsu and A&M in back to back weeks. lol

  • USC is much better than your #4 team. I am thinking a week or 2 long ban bet on that game.

Why, cause I won't play on the internet with you and make sig bets

We all know you love USCw but just shut up about them, the offseason is only 4 months away.... try and show some patience

As for you being better than ND, cool opinion man... but targeting that as to why my poll sucks is just weak, why the hell would I put a 3 loss bunch of hoes like USCw over an unbeaten ND ? cause you might beat them, IYO ? you are such a moron Ruff, its really pathetic

USCw blows, flat out sucks ass.... even worse than I thought you would be when I was telling all you homers like yourself that you weren't gonna do shit this season

Now you mad cause I make fun of you so much that you bring this new level of weakness to my Top 10 thread

Ha Ha Ha.... and its in regards to hate over me not including a 3 loss USCw somewhere

Stop giving up 700 yards of offense and maybe they would make my top 30

son, you think far too highly of yourself. Now you are speaking out of 2 sides of your mouth. First you don't account for wins and losses which is why you have a bunch of 2 loss scrubs above Oregon, then you say you have to have Notre Dame over USC because we have 3 loss.

You have to learn to troll better, get a bit more consistency.

Yes but you guys suck, and have zero quality wins

ND has a few like Stanford, a team that beat you

You gave up 700 yards and 61 points in a game, that automatically gets you banned from the NoVa top 10 for 2 months

Sandwiched in between Western Carolina? Face it, Alabama has played three good teams so far, and were outplayed in two of those games.

We led LSU 14-3 at the half. You're not going to ingore that. They won most of the 2nd half and that was good enough to ... get beat. Laughing at you and all the other schmucks who said we were outplayed.

You can take the "but, but, but we led with 1 minute to go and were winning ... we had it ... we were winning" lame-ass crybaby bullshit and lick me. LSU got beat. End of story.

The aTm game was different. We had our chances and didn't get it done. Hard to be perfect. Looking ahead to Auburn and Georgia now. Maybe we'll get another shot, maybe we won't. But we're not sitting around crying about it like a bunch of pussies.

    1- Alabama
    2- Kansas St
    3- LSU
    4- ND
    5- UGA
    6- FSU
    7- Texas A&M
    8- UF
    9- Oregon
    10- Oklahoma

ND and Kansas St will lose eventually but its hard not to respect ND's body of work and Kansas St is clearly a very good team

Bama is still #1 IMO..... yes they lost, but anybody that actually thinks ND and Kansas St are better isn't worth my time, simply cause I think once the chips fall where they will Bama will be heading to Miami and will take on Oregon.... and will win easily

Everybody is ranked based on how good I think each team is capable of playing, not records or " what have you done for me lately "

The fact that you have a 2 loss LSU team above a bunch of one loss teams and an undefeated team gives your top ten no credibility.

    1- Kansas St
    2- ND
    3- Bama
    4- FSU
    5- UGA
    6- UF
    7- Oregon
    8- LSU
    9- Texas A&M
    10- Oklahoma

Well I'm sure there will be some - there always are. But most of us just say hey - we got beat - move on. We lost last year and got in. It helps to be perfect, but you don't have to be.

We're a nearly 100% results oriented society. Say Team A goes out and plays the #15 ranked SOS and loses two times, once to the #8 team on the road and the #3 team at home. Then say you have Team B who plays the #75 ranked SOS and has lost only once, to an unranked opponent. 99% of the time, Team B will be ranked ahead of Team A simply because 1 loss < 2 losses. I'm not trying to make a case for a one loss team to be in over an undefeated or anything like that, nor am I saying that winning isn't important (hell, this is football; it's the most important). But we talk all season about hundreds of stats and factors and then, at the end of the day, act like everything's a simple, black and white decision.

I agree with what you say above. It seems that after a couple of weeks teams just get lined up
based on the amount of losses they have without any consideration for who they've played.

Sometimes it is still hard to figure out, even when looking closely at a team's SOS.
Especially in situations like this year in the SEC; where A&M beat Bama, Bama beat LSU,
LSU beat SCar, SCar beat Georgia, Georgia beat Florida, and Florida beat A&M.
So, who deserves to be the highest ranked SEC team? You'll get a ton of different answers.

Clearly, 6 teams have separated themselves from the rest of the SEC.
The 6 have only lost to each other. So, at least how I see it, you just look at who
has accomplished the most within that group of teams in games played against each other.

Games between the top 6 SEC teams
    Alabama..(1-1) W @LSU, L vs A&M.
Florida.....(3-1) W @A&M, vs LSU, vs South Car, L vs Georgia.
    Georgia...(1-1) W vs Florida, L @South Car.
    LSU..........(2-2) W @ A&M, W vs South Car, L @Florida, L vs Alabama
    Tex A&M..(1-2) W @Alabama, L vs Florida, L vs LSU.
    South Car (1-2) W vs Georgia, L @LSU, L @Florida

The top and bottom teams are easy to figure out IMO.

#1-Florida (The only team with 3 wins, including a road win,& even their neutral site loss was only by 1 score)
#2-Alabama (Beating LSU head-2-head in Baton Rouge made up for their overall lack of games within the top 6)
#3 LSU (If they hadn't played Bama or if they had lost on the road, I would have them at #2 instead).
#4 Texas A&M (Better win than SCar cuz it was on the road, but both losses were at home or they would be higher)
#5 Georgia (Like Bama, only 2 games within the 6, but 1 was a blowout loss)
#6-South Car (Only other team besides LSU who had to play 2 of these games on the road,
but 44-11 blowout loss was costly).

If Georgia were to beat Alabama in the CCG, I would move the Dawgs up to #2 and Bama down to #5.
Florida would remain the #1 SEC team.

However, all the polls have Alabama and Georgia ahead of Florida.
Despite Florida, along with LSU, clearly having the toughest road to navigate
amongst the top 6 SEC teams. Florida accomplished the most out of any of the
6 teams by winning 3 of 4 games, including wins over LSU, a blowout win vs South Car,
and a road win over A&M.

The fact that Florida struggled to beat Missouri & La-Lafayette by 7 points at home, doesn't change
any of that. Florida still was the best SEC team in games against the best SEC teams.
What it does change, or at least makes neccessary to consider, is whether or not the conf.
really is as strong as it has been made out to be (considering it's top team nearly lost back to back
home games to below average teams).
