Do they mean the Lions can't challenge or the play isn't reviewable at all? If it's the latter, that's BS. Either EVERYTHING needs to be reviewable or nothing does. I don't see the point in replay anymore.

Wow, what a complete hose job. How do the refs miss that? His elbow AND knee were both down. If I was a Lions fan, I would be absolutely livid if that is the difference in the game.

So, because the coach threw the challenge flag, they got a penalty, and that also negated the official review that happens after every TD anyway.

I can't figure out the logic behind the rule. Maybe they said "listen coaches, we're helping you by automatically reviewing tds and turnovers, so don't be an idiot and challenge or we'll punish you." But that's dumb as hell anyway. I'm guessing it will be looked at after the season.
