Impressive numbers in the 55m, High Jump, and the Long Jump for Averett.

His film reminds me of a similar athlete back in the day in terms of the aforementioned track events and the Triple Jump.....and he also played CB, AJ Davis of Northern Durham in Durham, NC. Attended NC State but broke his leg the Summer before his freshmen year and was never the same again...although he did play in the NFL for a little bit. Davis won North Carolina State Championships in the Long Jump, Triple Jump and High Jump and was top 5-6 in the 55 meter dash.

Guys that are good in multiple track events such as these....if they have agility and flexibility.....then they have a chance to be special. Davis was that special as a DB, WR and return specialist..he was scary good prior to his injury. He won the Fastest Player Award at the 2002 US Army All-American Game.

Look forward to seeing Averett develop as again....a guy that excels in these track events and has agility can evolve into a major player.
