Couple quick thoughts.
ND hasn't been this talented in the trenches on both sides of the ball at the same time since the Holtz era.
ND hasn't been able to get after the QB like this in a long time.
Some of the major changes at ND include Brian Kelly and his coaching staff going out and not only getting difference makers in the defensive front seven, but also just in general landing bigger players. ND is much bigger from a physical perspective than they've been in the past. More NFL bodies running around.
ND now has a training table. Been huge for them the last two years.
I'm not saying this team is as good as Alabama and LSU just pointing out a couple things on why I feel they're on the right track. It was a great win for them tonight against a very physical and good football team on the road.

I didn't realize Elite44 was an Ohio State fan. None of the avatars show up on the mobile version I was posting from the other night.
Anyways, to keep the football chatter going, JC is right that if Golson continues to play well and improve each game, Gunner's time might not come for awhile. I think that Kiel has also had his moments where he's impressed the coaches but he's obviously still learning as a true freshman. I think his day in the sun will come whether that's one, two, three or four years down the road.
Also, QB depth is huge as not having a serviceable backup can obviously wreck a season.

Hope you're calling out everyone who's a homer, but I haven't seen you calling out Mr. Helwagen. Wiltfong didn't do anything wrong, he offered up honest analysis on a team that beat a very good Michigan State team.
