  • in 6 years it will be a 16 team playoff.. Book it..

Once the NCAA realizes how much money they can make off of it.. It will turn into the D1-AA playoff

Real cash cow would be a new division of 5 12 team conferences of blue bloods. That combined with a playoff and revenue sharing and we are talking Billions.

What would you do with the schools that are left out?

Probably put them in FCS or make an in between division.

Have 5 conferences of 12 would make for some damn good football.

Also allows for more appropriate rule making for similar programs (in terms if revenue, talent, and resources).

and then you can make the bottom 5 teams in the top division do down and the top 5 in the one below go up. It would give teams in the lower division a goal and put fear into the ones in the top so that they don't become complacent. The teams that drop down are really going to feel it. This is what makes European football so great, it should be applied to American sports, where it can as well imo.

I was thinking the same thing along those lines. Or if you finish below .500

Woah. Big boy. Promotion and relegation won't work in America. Didn't all the MLS fans tell you?

  • I'm not nuts about the way it's going down. Once again the SEC is shoving it's plan down everyone else's throats just like they did with the BCS.

I guess the ends justify the means but college football grows closer to pro status with every concession to the unholy dollar.

  • The fans win with this. We will see some awesome matchups and the championship will be earned on the field through a playoff and not through computers.

It's not American and just because something works over there doesn't mean it will work here and all that bs blah.

Seriously though, I like the idea since there is a division under (unlike the MLS).

By the way, MLS isn't trash.

This is why I suggested it. The different divisions allows it to work fairly. As far as the mls being trash, you're right I was being too harsh. I would be lying if I said I haven't been to a TFC game, but when you compare it to it's European or even South American counterpart it really kind of is.

Yea it's not there yet,but keeps growing stronger and stronger. It's just nice to have a league of our own,so to speak. And by the way, I'm sorry MLSE are such shitty owners. And that's for more than Toronto FC.
