OFFICIAL-driving pet peeves thread**

  • -drivers that follow 2 car lengths behind on the interstate, especially when someone is going 10 miles over the speed limit. And when the drivwe in left lane gets over for u to pass, u don't go any faster but yet u had to ride that persons bumper
    -why do u take a back road to work only to go less than the speed limit and hold up others who know the back road and would like to get to work by going a normal divers speed (3-7 miles over speed limit)
    -drivers who don't use their turn signals. GFY

  • People that make the decision to hold up 50 cars behind them while they let someone out in front of them after the light has turned green... This isn't common but happened to me yesterday.

  • -Left lane drivers. The left lane is for passing, not just cruising in.

    -People who don't know how to merge. If your lane is ending, it is your responsibility to merge before it ends. You do not have the right of way.

    -Bicyclists: Is it really necessary you ride down the middle of a major highway?

    When I saw the topic, your first example was what I was going to cite.
    A little twist on it is when you are on a four lane interstate, two lanes each direction
    Ten miles over the speed limit, left lane and a car comes up on you going 15-20 miles over.
    So you move into the right lane and they seemingly go " Oh Shyte, Im going too fast" and they slow down, right next to you, and you have to brake to avoid running into the back of a Semi going ten miles under the limit.

    Also people that slow down making a right turn, almost like they are afraid their car is going to tip over going 15 MPH

    I hate cyclists. They drive on the road and think that laws don't apply to them. Middle of the road and cruise through stop signs. If I ever see one get hit at an intersection I'm gettting out the car and laughing at him.

  • I can't stand when I'm driving and a passenger gets on their phone and has a full length conversation - forcing me to turn down the music.

    Same goes for when I'm watching TV in the living room. Just get up and go to another room.

    I tell my wife she's not allowed to use her phone in my car without permission. She's the worst at talking on the phone.

    I have a few peeves, but my biggest is people that leave shopping carts randomly in the parking lot. I'll stop there before I go on a rant.

    When a car pulls out in front of you forcing you to tap the breaks or slam when there is absolutely no one behind you.

    I live in Orlando, I have to deal with all of these damn tourists. BTW, it rains here. If you can't drive in the rain don't come down here. I can't stand when all of these tourists drive 15 mph in a 60 when it's a drizzle out.

  • Youre driving and you see a sign that says left lane closed ahead so you slow down and have to let all the cars you just passed ahead cuz they wont let you in. you then move over into the right lane only to find the left lane is still open.

    Oh they still have cops on it. It's just late. But there's that one patch between exit 7 and 8 on 400 that you can open it up.

  • Atlanta's Downtown connector is the mecca of dumb drivers. Going southbound? Have fun with everyone collectively slowing to 45-50 around the Grady Curve that can be taken easily at 80+, and tons of drivers cutting across 8 lanes of heavy traffic with regard for no one else trying to make the I20 exits. Going Northbound? Well damn, thousands make this commute every freaking day, but cannot remember left lanes for 85, right lanes for 75. I nearly get hit by some idiot every time I'm down there.
