What is the value of each one after 5 years? Because the Macbook Pro will still be running and will have a much higher resale value...fact.

And the form factor for Apple and the nearest competitor isn't even close. Apple products are top notch. The macbook pro is thin, not plastic, and very very light for its performance capabilities.

The fact that you keep saying "PC" like that's a single thing shows that you don't know what you're talking about.

An introductory $1000 Macbook is going to beat a $400 generic storebrand PC laptop every time. WHen you compare a $1000 Macbook to a $1000 PC laptop, you are getting more bang for your buck in terms of specs and performance with the PC every time.

I do web design, IT work and click ads for multiple companies and I get 15 PCs for every 1 Mac.

That registry file that Windows works off of is so easy to manipulate and is pretty much programmed with bugs.. They do this do you have to BUY virus protection.

You couldn't build something that even resembles a Macbook Pro. Not all "laptops" are in the same class (size, weight, style). I have an 15", 8lb lappy that would blow the new Macbooks out of the water, but Apple isn't trying to compete with it. It requires a laptop cooler, has terrible battery life and is a pain in the ass to carry around.

Sort of. Apple products have a really strong used market and retain much of their value. There is also a price for reliability (which I am beginning to favor instead of pure power as I get older).

Agreed. I preferred to build many of my own desktops. I would still enjoy doing it if I had more time and still played games.

That's the thing.. You have to BUILD a PC to make it better instead of it being beast mode straight out of the box.

never had a problem with a Mac but are they susceptible sure...IMO not anymore than a PC in terms of pure risk
