I saw 92-94 followed up by off speed...holy mother of god! I can't imagine ever getting used to it. The diff in 92 to 94 seemed like a hell of a lot more that it does from 78-80.
I too love the way Harper keeps his hands cocked, that's a reason fastballs got by him more than they should. I'd rather my young guy work on fundamentals of overall hitting rather than sit fastball and have to learn later

Some guys are grinders. Yes they have ability. But natural ability like Harper, trout, Griffey, etc is not in everyone
As far as weight gain and college kids. Many guys start to really mature 18, 19, etc. add that to a real training program that most have not been exposed to have a better chance of the weight gain
I played in college and past that, I've seen all kinds, the workers and the natural god gift type

Sweet swings are nice, but I want a guy that does something with it, the look of a swing is over rates IMO. I too would take Trout over Harper, but I don't think that says anything about Harper, Trout was 2nd in the MVP as a Rook, and as I said he is a once aver 20+ year player...maybe better?
The Atl guys are going to have to prove it, the Uptons have been nice players but they have also been in the league long enough that we know what we are getting in them...I'd take Justin, but BJ needs to give more

If I could name them they would be productive. I agree those guys have great swings, and the less movement the better the production can be, but a guy like Manny wasnt pretty but he killed it, Jeter...leftys are what we think of as sweet swings...and they are, but my point was it isn't a necessity to be a good hitter
