I am beyond angry. I watched this live at work, and couldn't really concentrate for the rest of the day after hearing the verdict. I turned my phone off when the verdict was being read so no one would bother me, lol.

Well, I actually just made it "unavailable," so any calls would go to my voicemail if someone called.
AND ANOTHER THING. When she was found not guilty, she smiled. She smiled big. I don't know how any mother, guilty or not, can smile while her child is dead (however it happened). What a no-good, lying, heartless bitch.

What more do they need, though? A video of her doing it? You had the chloroform in the trunk of the car and on the body. Hair from caylee in the trunk. A mom that didn't notify police after her daughter had been missing for 2 months. A mom that was proven to be a pathological liar while she made up names like "Zanny". My question is, what evidence short of a video of her doing it did they need? It was already blatantly obvious to 98% of americans that she was guilty as hell.

I didn't read this entire thread... but figured I would drop my two cents in. I try to avoid judging people at all costs, as it really does nothing but brings negativity to yourself. If I had to decide, I would have found her guilty. I also feel like she will pay a worse price continuing with her life, as all of this will catch up with her in one way or another. Dying would have been the easy way out. I feel like it will be a case of what goes around comes around.
Also -- I really have no faith at all in our court system. Didn't really have any before this.... and it's even further solidified now.

look if you're pissed off about Casey Anthony, don't blame the jury - blame the prosecution. It's their job to provide the evidence and prove the case beyond all reasonable doubt. It's the job of the Defense Attorney to ensure that the Gov't follows the rules. The jury is an innocent bystander in this, and you can't convict someone because "well I just know she did it" even if the evidence isn't there.
Especially when voting guilty is sending someone to their death. If you're going to tell me that my guilty vote is going to send someone to the chair, then you better DAMN well had give me hard evidence that she's guilty, and just circumstantial.

I can understand not convicting for first degree there just no proof of intent. What don't get is why didn't convict for the manslaghter of child abuse charges I think strong evidence she was chloroforming the kid.

Have you ever held someone else's life in your hands? I know I haven't, and that's a big reason why I can't criticize them in here. This is very much a "walk a mile in my shoes" type of situation. I believe I would have said "Not Guilty" of Murder 1, because I think there was enough reasonable doubt.
