Finally, this guy never had any business being coach of the Lakers. Just a bad coach.
Won't happen, but wish Phil would come back for two years.

I don't think it would happen, but I have a thought they called him behind the scenes.
Management had said that with this homestand they would evaluate Mike Brown and that for now he was safe. That means they would give him 4 more games. What changed that accelerated the firing? I have to imagine that they have a coach in waiting already and the first one that comes to mind is Phil Jackson.

Also this didn't surprise me. The defense has been just non-existant and the Princeton offense felt weird; in the two games Steve Nash played he should not have been relegated to an off ball guard, it was stupid to take the ball out of the hands of someone so adept at seeing the floor and passing.

I know right. I am a huge Lakers fan, but haven't watched a single game since opening night. They have way too much talent to look like ish. Too difficult for me to watch.
If Phil comes back, which every fan hopes, they will have a strong run for the rest of the season.

Yes, the offense obviously goes through Kobe. However, Nash should be the one driving, dishing, and making the decisions. Hell the offense was going through Gasol. Most idiotic offense I've ever watched on any level.

He is supposedly a defensive coach and he brought in a coordinator specifically to run the Princeton offense. So both those problems fall on him. I know the players have to play, but if he is taking them and putting them in bad setups then that is his fault.
Also, look at Dallas. They had tons of turnover in the offseason yet Carlisle had them in tune with the system when they came to LA in the first game and kicked our asses. Mike Brown got the same training camp time and preseason as everyone else. Why were we not ready?
