    1 other thing...

You said July... take your kids (boys, girls, doesn't matter) to Wrigley for a Cubs game. Even if you don't like baseball the place is iconic.

I lived in Chicago for almost 3 years during the week, opening up a new office for my company. My family lived in Ohio. I came home on the weekends, but after a while they came to Chicago more then I came back to Ohio. We LOVED going there.

I became a Cubs fan. The place really is special.

I was going to say the same thing. It's been a long time since I've been in the summer but the last time I was there was Sosa vs. Big Mac. We couldn't get tix for less than $150 a piece and ended up just watching the game at the Cubbie Bear. It was still a good time but taking a huge baseball fan to Wrigley and just letting h see the outside walls is like taking Tiger Woods to a Perkins and just letting him order food. Just cruel.

Also if you go to Second City, don't hand your keys to the Asian guy wearing the bright red vest. He's not the valet even if the little militant Fuc tard is dressed just like one. :)

Isomewhere near a good bar area and where we won't get shot.

    For you Hskr...

I would stay in the posh area called Cabrini Green. Lots of culture and corner bars. Summer should be fun. All kinds of people walking the streets. You won't be far from "new comiskey park" also know as us cellular field. But just ask someone for a ride up to Wrigley. I'm sure it won't take long to get somebody to put you in his car biggrin

It's basically gone... there are still some row houses. But back in the early 90's, that place was wack. Probably the worst neighborhood in America. They have the big ass chain lonk fences all around the project housing. And as you're driving on The Dan Ryan you could look up and see all the burned out units right next to the occupied units.
