OT: Official Halo 4 Thread

  • Im not sure how many of ya'll actually played/play halo, but I have been since i was 17, and im really looking forward to Halo 4's release next month! Looks very good IMO, with symmetrical maps, and many options in the multiplayer. Im not big on any of the campaigns, but i will play it. Reach was a trainwreck, a very poor in almost every aspect of the game. And the DMR was very poor in weapon design. This game looks to have a huge impact, very high ceiling for gameplay, and should put Halo back into the MLG circuit (which Halo 1, 2 , and 3 were the highlights of). The Battle Rifle is back as well, just hope the feel of the game is good as its looks.

    Same here!!!!! I bought reach play for 2 months...went to one lan, and quit. I went back to 3 and try to get to Halo2 lans when i can

    Yep me as well...hopefully they can put all the "older" type gameplays in with the newer types. It was very hard to strafe in Reach, and every game has its own feel. I think this one can mesh the games for a perfect feel. Halo Reach was so bad because Bungie knew they could release a garbage halo game and make a profit before "retiring".

  • I'll definitely play. I'm glad the roommates are buying it though, so I don't have to blow $60 on it if I think it's crap. But it looks like 343 has its head on straight for the most part. We'll see how it is.

  • I think if there was ever proof that a Halo movie could actually be successful, Forward Unto Dawn is it. For an Internet mini-series, it's pretty damn awesome. The acting is at worst decent and special effects and set pieces are rather impressive. If not a full-length movie, I think it'd be an awesome feature mini-series on a network like HBO or AMC.

    This game is looking very promising, and the fact that T2 (H1-Reach pro) was involved in this game, it will be very competitive and a fast paced game. Hopefully, it will add the best parts of H1-H3 (sorry reach had nothing) and create a better game than all of them.

    I might be interested in teaming up to see how the competitive playlists play. Depends how into the game I am. If it plays like Reach (where you can't even get a double kill on your own because of bloom), I'm out.
