    Pulse Grenades are terrible...im not sure what they even do

    I just stick with plasma grenades. Loving going in big team slayer and blowing up a full warthog. So many points!

    I *think* that is the forerunner grenades. They, if I read the description right, explode in a circle (don't know if it does damage) and when that circle, which you can see, collapses like a black hole it kills anyone in it.

    It looks like an orange version of that health replenisher globe, but smaller obviously. I don't see the point of them because anyone with a brain should see giant orange area and avoid it.

    Maybe. I thought there was several explosions, not one big one.

    My 2 thoughs were, cluster grenade or I was unlucky enough to walk into 3 or more grenades at once.

    If you get in a huge firefight, especially in big team slayer, then multiple grenades is not out of the realm of possibility.

  • Matchmaking and party system is really cluttered also. Halo 2s system was a lot easier.

  • Also If you want to avoid frustration over spawns, avoid big team slayer. The AI obviously doesn't take into effect teammates engaged in firefights because at least 5 times I spawned and died right away because I had spawned in the path of bullets.

    Yeah man Halo 1 is probably my all time favorite game. We use to play it on xbconnect before xbox live came out. Halo 1 pistol FTW!

    I worked for a construction company back in the day that worked out of state. We set up LAN parties in opposing hotel rooms.

    We always played team slayer in the biggest indoor map. Get the high ground and hold it with the pistol until someone grabbed the invisibility and shotgun tried to take it back for the opposing team. We played that for hours, day after day after day...

    There are definitely two big differences between 4 and its predecessors right now:

    1. It takes way fewer shots to get killed. I've been dying a lot, but that's not a surprise 'cause I'm out of practice, but everyone is dying a lot.

    2. The melee distance is a lot shorter. I've whiffed my fair share of times already.

    This is all true. But everyone hated the lunges that people would get with the melee. Using sprint and lunging was so nubby...I like the shots taking less, that is why there are not many small type maps in the game. Ive learned that staying around your teammates can help get a lot of multi kills (its rare that I can take on 2 BRs at once)

    Also strafing is very hard, placing shots on someone moving is not very hard. Speeding up the side to side movement would help this game imo.

    yep...does seem longer, but there is a perk to make it go up faster as well. DO NOT LIKE THIS!

    I'm not a big fan of perk minimization/maximization. It seems to have created a more common disengage effect as well. Definitely has altered the flow. People don't seem as aggressive as in past Halos.

    agreed! However it does help a team in "Team shooting", and keeping the more "team oriented" players more successful. Beating a team by yourself is getting harder

  • Has anyone run into the problem of being put in with all top levels? I am only level 10 I think and got a couple games last night with multiple 30+. It is annoying because at the time I didn't even have my 3rd perk unlocked yet they had everything unlocked. I wish for matchmaking we had the skill system of Halo 2 (or was it 3 where it was a number 1-50 that went up/down based on how you performed?).

    Also what is everyone's favorite map so far? Mine is the small circular one that is two levels, Haven I think it is called. Constant action and good gunplay IMO.

    Definitely. You can easily get dropped by two guys working together in two shots by each before you get half damage on either.

    I've liked most of them. A lot of consistently good maps.
