I have had mine for a couple weeks and love it. Sometimes the light dims while I'm trying to use it but I hear that will be resolved with the upgrade from ice cream sandwich

S3 >>>> Nexus by quite a bit, imo. I did the research before buying it.

S3 is awesome. I just threw my iphone in the dumpster (jk sold it on craigslist) and bought a htc one x. Only reason I didn't get the s3 was because it was 100 dollars more. As an iphone user, I'm going to mess around with droid until apple decides to start putting out better products instead of adding a friggin inch in length and market it as a new phone.

I have no issues with my S3 and is the best phone I have owned to date.

Ive gor it. Its pretty good. Its not a lot better than an iphone. Maybe it takes sometime to adjust to the size and functions but as of now i give It a .... meh.

Also, no spell check which could be a disastor for grammar police.

Does anyone know if the s3 can send and receive group text messages? I currently have the Samsung Charge and I am updating in about a month. I currently cannot receive group texts in a group message. They come in as a 1 on 1 text and goes into the text thread with that person. It gets confusing if a bunch of people are responding and it is going to their individual message threads. Also, when I send a group text, it sends the message to each person individually, instead of creating a "group chat thread" like you can have on an iphone. Any help clearing this up is greatey appreciated! TIA

That is the same thing that my Samsung Charge does. If you go into the settings and click the "XT9 advanced settings" you can play with the settings to get it to work the way you want.

It's worth it man. Iphone has gotten so bland and so out of date as of late and droid has come out with some new amazing software updates in jelly bean and icecream sandwich. I've had every version of iphone and I was just so underwhelmed by the 5 I had to switch to get something new. Within a few hours of playing with it you'll realize you made the right decision. So many things to mess around with.

That is the one thing that makes me wish I had an iphone. almost all of my friends have iphones so when someone sends a group text I get them all under each individual and the conversation is tough to follow and I can't reply to everyone.

It should be lasting you much longer than that. Are you managing your apps? As in, shutting them down when you are done in your task manager? Look into some launcher apps. I use GoLauncher, and I use its task manager. I have it on one of my pages. I just click a button and it clears and shuts down anything hat is running. I hit the button multiple times a day. Nothing is stock on my Note, and it can last me all day if I let it. If you are watching constant video, then there isn't much you can do. Video uses battery, no matter what brand of phone you have.

As far as spell check goes, I'm not sure.

See the word"sure" that I just typed? I actually typed surw, but it fixed it for me when I finished the word. Isn't that the same thing as spell check?
