Has anyone ever gotten them? My doctor says I have them and want to do surgery. I am looking for ways to get rid of them without surgery. Any help would be appreciated.
Yes! Disgustingly satisfying when you finally hock one of those babies up. As far as chronic tonsil stones go, the only cure I know is removal of the tonsils.
They are disgusting. I have never had them before now, so I do not know if it is a recurring problem or not. I honestly have never heard of them before until I seen the doctor.
Well if you're just now getting them, I don't think you need to go so far as getting them removed. You don't *have* to have surgery if they're not chronic.
Are there any easy ways to remove them? They are not painful just aggravating. I read using a water pick works well, but have not tried it yet. Thanks again for the responses.
Gargling with salt water helps loosen them. Q-tips work too. I've never used a water pik, but I imagine they'd work too.
Thanks for the replies. I will definitely try that.
Y'know, I learn about the weirdest sh-t on this board. I have never heard of half the sh-t you guys suffer from. Tonsil stones? Kidney stones, okay. The other night a guy had some kind of crazy growth on his neck everyone kept telling him to lance. WTF? I love you guys but god d-mn ya'll are some unhealthy mofos.
