My picks are based on wrestlers who were both good as faces & heels, who could put on a show no matter who they were paired with & their overall in ring ability. Yes I am a smark.

  • 1. Sting(best face in history, IMO. Never could play heel, but only because the fans wouldn't let him)
    2. HBK(liked him better as a heel, but great as a face as well)
    3. Stone Cold(Tweener. Neither face or heel. Just a bad ass)
    4. Chris Jericho(better as a heel. He can make fans hate him more than any wrestler I can remember besides maybe Edge)
    5. AJ Styles(Just all around a great talent. Best in-ring worker today, IMO, and solid on the mic. Better as a face, but ready for a heel run)

HM: Bret Hart, DDP, Eddie Guerrero, Chris Benoit, Edge, Christian.

Favorites currently(I have given up on WWE, and only watch TNA, FWIW.

    1. AJ Styles
    2. Bobby Roode
    3. Bully Ray(Bubba Ray for those unaware. Best mic worker in the business today. Hate that they just turned him face).
    4. Austin Aries
    5. Christopher Daniels

No way Bully is better than Punk on the mic. Even if they water down Punk, Punk is far & away the best in the biz on the mic. Alot of people are saying now that Linda Mcmahon lost her second bid at senate WWE will go back to a more edgier product. They almost have to if they want to recoup that 100 mil she spent on her failed senate attempts.

Punk is good. I would put Bully ahead of him though. When punk shoots, he is the best, though. Vince isn't happy with the bad ratings. They have went from 5.0 to 2.3 in less than 10 years. And they get that 2.3 because of the wwe logo in the corner. Not because of the product quality. I really wish Vince would pull his head out his ass. The roster isn't even good anymore, IMO. I think its funny that Bobby Roode has turned Vince down multiple times.

  • number 1: Stone Cold Steve Austin. Dude had it all. The carisma. The attitude. The blue collar worker that fought back against the man. The second the glass shattered, there was never a larger reaction from the crowd.

number 2: Bret "The Hitman" Hart. The guy was a boring promo guy. Talks like a total retard. But he had it all in the ring. Sold the bumps just as good as anyone. Intro music was awesome. Soon as you heard the shriek of the guitar you knew shit was about to go down. "Vince screwed Bret" is still one of the top story lines in the WWE over 15 years later.

number 3: Shawn Michaels. The guy opened the door for smaller guys (probably not the greatest thing, since all WWE produces now are small guys) and set the standard for high flying in the WWE. Dude had charisma, the intro music, the flash, the zing, the finisher, etc. He was the total package without being named Lex Luger. He could be bad, he could be good. Who cared. Dude was always out there doing his best.

number 4: Mick Foley. There are probably more prestigious wrestlers that could go here, but who the fug put it on the line for our entertainment quite like Mic Foley? Wether he's getting thrown off a 20+ foot steal cage onto a table, then crawling back from a stretcher just to get thrown through the roof of said steal cage 15 feet below to the mat, to be eventually tombstoned piledrived onto a bed of tacks, or getting hit over the head multiple times by a chair while handcuffed, or dressing as a 70's hippie, the guy oozed entertainment. Nobody gave themselves to the fans quite like Mic Foley. I don't think there's any wrestler that could be mentioned that gave his body to the sport quite like Mic.

number 5: Triple H. Dude showed up as a Connecticut fuq face. Bowed like an asshat to his opponents. Wrestled like a women. Then came Shawn. And spawned my favorite group of wrestlers of all time, never will be matched: DX. I feel like I'm in the minority here. I loved DX more when Shawn wasn't a part of it. When they got X-Pac and the Outlaws they were must see TV. When it was just Shawn and HHH, meh. didn't care that much. Triple H transformed that group more than Shawn ever could. He was bold, daring, funny, and BIG. Shawn was a little dude and Hunter brought back the big guy atmosphere to it. One thing I'll never get over with Triple H though is that it seems he never could win a big match without cheating. You'd think the writers would give him a legit shot at winning but no. China's lesbo self showed up or he ended up using a sledge hammer. Boring. Either way, Triple H had one of the better personalities in the profession.

Honorable mention: The Rock. Great wrestler. Great entertainer. Too much of a fan ass kisser.

Jake The Snake Roberts. Used to get creeped out seeing that big bag when he walked down the tunnel.

Undertaker. Easily the best overall persona. Nothing will top Paul Bearer and the grave keepers walking down the coffin to ringside with the crow.

He probably does not want to take a development deal, which makes no sense. I don't understand why WWE signs established wrestlers & puts them in FCW for a year changes their gimmick & name & then release them. They offerd AJ Styles a development deal. Why not sign them & put them on RAW as soon as they do. What established veteran wants a deal like that?
Vince is really sh!**%g the bed.

Adding Styles and Roode to RAW would instantly make the show better. No developmental needed for those two. Throw in Storm, Aries, and Daniels/Kazarian for the tag division.

That said, I don't want any of them going to WWE, because I don't watch that anymore.

  • Curt Hennig is still the most under-appreciated wrestler of all-time. In his prime, he was as good as there was, and if they had gone with him vs. Hogan at WrestleMania VI like they originally planned to, he'd be on a lot of these lists (because his entire career would've been different).

Also, his match with Hart at SummerSlam made Hart a star.

Rest of my top five: Savage, Hart, Michaels, Hall.
