I've been saying this for a while. If romney is the nominee, Obama will get more of the percentage than in 2008. If Santorum is the nominee, Obama will push 60%.
And this has nothing to do with Obama and his policies and all to do with the self-destruction of the republican field and the republican party as a whole.

Yep. I have no problem saying im a democrat, but it does no one any good to have one party so out of touch and extreme. A healthy debate of the issues is always good, but the issues being debated by the republicans make it sound like its the 1950's and 60's. Sad thing is, most of the candidates don't feel that way (except santorum)...but they have to go that extreme in order to have a chance at the nomination.
A lot of the times it works, my feeling is that during this cycle all the candidates have gone so far extreme right that there is no way to pivot back to the center for the general election. Team Obama is going to have a field day with some of these quotes from the republican debates.

Agreed. I don't like a lot of his opinions, but Newt is smart.
I'd rather have a smart guy that I disagree with in charge than an idiot that has the same views as me.

shameful , guy has what it takes to at least make a dent in some of the problems we all face ; not sure anyone can make that big of a difference with everything there is to deal with these days
