Obama Never Talked to Libya During Attacks on Americans

Setting aside the fact that you clearly don't understand the "far left" if you think the modern Democratic Party tone is anything more radical than center-left, I'm curious as to whether or not you can give me one example of an area in which you break with the right.

    Healthcare, higher education are two.

Also somewhat on abortion. I am sure there are others.

    How do like them apples?

Because they believe Obama loves them. Since they don't believe in God they have subconsciously put Obama on a God like pedestal. In their minds Obama is the embodiment of everything right and good in the world.

Look at CMXI, it doesn't matter what Obama does he supports it. Every. Single. Time.

So the converse is true as well? Haha

  • I am not a conspiracy theorist or an Obama hater. POTUS is the POTUS and people just need to accept that. I defend the Constitution of our country and will always oppose those who seek to destroy our Constitution.

I DO, however, see a great amount of things within my line of work and I know things that have happened that this Executive staff has made sure were never reported. Even CNN and FoxNews will both tell you they are told what they can and cannot report. This administration, in particular, has a very, very tight control on the media. If a media outlet pushes the envelope or goes too far against the administration, then they are exiled/blackballed.

No, I cannot gives specifics---given my work. I work for DoD.

Nobody should ever be denied proper healthcare. Nobody should die because they don't have the money.

The insurance system and Medicare Medicaid are what is responsible for driving health cost up. Subsidies always drive cost up.

If the government directly controlled parts or most maybe all if healthcare cost could come down.

I don't know that I want a health system completely controlled by Washington because that would have its own set of problems, but I am sure there is way to make it work and do so efficiently. However simply copying European models won't work IMO because we are a very different and much larger country.

Higher education should be paid for by the state. Perhaps students should pay nominal fees and books and food etc. but at least tuition should be free. That said we shouldn't turn College into the 13th-16th grades. It should be much more difficult to get into and grades must be maintained once in.

I hate abortion, but in certain instances it is acceptable. And early in pregnancy a women should be able to choose.

I am okay with gay marriage, but religious institutions should never be required to administer them if they don't want to.

Why would anyone defend a politician?

They're all liars and don't give a fvck about anyone but themselves.

It's hilarious how some people on this board rush to defend everything Obama does, no matter how blatantly wrong he is. Like he gives two shits about you.

    Seriously..!
Look at the hurricane Sandy victims, many of whom voted for the guy, and are still fighting an uphill battle for any resemblance to what their previous life held, as they flock to the neighbors house to watch TWC and news of another incoming storm.
It's sad how an Obama phone, a smoozing smile from the 'cool' (?) cat, combined with a large dose of 'ego-trippin will do wonders for the psyche..of the less than 'keen-
Yay!! Free phones AND foodstamps on the house!

Yeah, because everyone knows that the only measure of transparency is how many press conferences one holds or interviews one grants. no

Hell, you're even wrong about the interview numbers, but don't let that stop your nonsensical argument.

Oprah and late night talk shows don't count...

Yeah, unbelievable. Hey,did you guys know the administration before that lied by pumping up faulty intelligence as a reason to go to war?! Yep. No Al Qaeda in Iraq at the time and now billions spent and hundreds of thousands of lives lost.

Keep searching for the truth on Bengazi though you message Sean Hannity.

Standard lib answer. It's been what 6 years now, get over the bush issues and move on. "This" dictator is who we are talking about now. What bush did is actually irrelevant now, to compare it to Obama... Isn't he supposed to be better than bush? Then why compare what bush did, since he sucked so bad?

Obama is a tool- and nothing more.

You answered your own question. Bush was the worst president ever and the gold standard for what a president should be like at the same time. Go figure.

It's kinda like when they say that all Republicans are uneducated, poor rednecks when it fits their argument and very successful rich business men that only care about getting richer when it fits their other argument.

Nice job, but next time go into further detail and say that they will discredit the source and also never actually discuss the article, only mention George Bush and other liberal propaganda. Unless I missed it, I didn't see any of them mention the linked article.

I'm just not that brilliant. Given the subject matter, I just saw no way that Bush could possibly be referenced in any response. Yes, I missed that part by a mile.

Fact presented. Extrapolation taken from fact that is offbase and not probative either.

    Not you. The articles.

The yahoo article was like:" here he didn't talk to them Hillary did."

The CSN article was like;" Obama didn't talk to Libyans. What would have happened if he did? (Implying they wouldn't have died) etc etc. pretty sure they didn't mention Hillary calling".

    Yea big difference.

  • I think we can all agree that things in Benghazi should have been handled differently. To argue for the right, their security increase requests should have been granted. To argue for the left, it is hard to determine exactly what is going on in situations like this attack, making it extremely difficult to make an informed decision that will not cost even more lives.

The aftermath was handled pretty bad as well. If Emmanuel was still Chief of Staff, he wouldn't have let so many people's stories clash and create a storm of speculation. This was a terrorist attack, not pissed off people reacting to a movie.

We all need to remember that politicians are going to either defend their actions (the current administration) or rip apart the way the other team handled it. That's politics, but I bet what really happened lies somewhere between the two side's arguments.

It appears not having a terrorist attack on 9-11 was a motivating factor in the response.

  • Its the coverup that annoys people, IMO. The Brits and Red Cross left because of the instability and lack of security. Hillary "didn't see" the memo. More security was requested and denied.

Plus, everyone remembers the debate when the moderator (Obama friend) took up for him and allowed no more discussion when Romney was talking about it, only to admit later that only parts of what she said were true.

Also, this would have contradicted Obama's earlier statements about Al Queda being decimated. Someone stated that there being 2 movies about killing Bin Laden and we don't even know who the people were that were evacuated after the Libya attacks tells you everything you need to know about a coverup and media spin.

Earlier I heard Hillary say they receive thousands of e-mails, which is why it didn't get immediate attention, or immediately get noticed. I think it is unrealistic to believe that there is not a process in place for an emergency call, or a panic button. They fall back on the fact that they didn't know immedately how serious it was, yet they immediately knew it was a demonstration, which turned into a riot, over the movie, none of which was true.
