What did the SCOTUS say today? Have you read the majority opinion?

I haven't read the actual opinion yet, but I disagree with them on this I'm sure.

It wasn't violated. The Obama administration wanted to SCOTUS to grant an injunction based on hypothetical law that might be passed by Congress one day in the future. It would be like saying my credit card company should forgive my debt because Congress might pass a law one day eliminating all credit card debt.

It's that type of night law school crap that Obama and his minions think passes Constitutional muster. As someone in the legal profession I don't understand how the man was allowed to teach Con Law at a prestigious school such as Chicago.

And there you have it. White American is not synonymous with any American tradition. You sir are a stone hearted racist. It is because of a group of white males you enjoy the freedoms you have today.

Of course, don't let reading the legal reasoning get in the way of partisan hackery.

Without listing the exact part of the constitution, the federal government does not have the ability to take the powers of the states. Treaties that take a state's powers are not valid against a state.

You're interpretation is that there are no states' powers because the federal government can make a treaty with a country and void them. It cannot do that. This was upheld by the US Supreme Court the last time this happened. In this case there was not an attempt to overturn the verdict but an attempt to stay the execution pending the possible passage of a federal bill.

Again, the US Supreme Court has already decided the constitutionality of using a treaty to nullify powers that belong to the states. The US Supreme Court has repeatedly sided with the states. Therefore, your assertion of the Supremacy Clause is inapplicable.

That fought for a country that was built upon the backs of black slaves, whose livelihood in the beginning was aided immensely by the teachings of the Natives which now sees a lot of it's technology imported from Asia.

Sorry, a group of Americans made the decisions that allow me to enjoy the freedoms I have today. Your attitude is that of the King and Motherland from which we ran from.

How many black slaves fought for the independence of our nation and how many blacks died in other wars while at the same time they weren't allowed to do their damn laundry in the same places as us white folk?

See here's the issue: I get called a "liberal" because I strive for giving all walks of life in America the same, fair chance to succeed in life. People misconstrue that as me saying everyone DESERVES something or is ENTITLED to it, the "Right Wing Slant." That's not what I said at all. I said everyone, be it white or black, male or female, gay or straight, whomever all deserve a FAIR chance at life. That's the American dream, isn't it? If you work hard and apply yourself you can be successful and live a good life. I think a lot of people use the above insult they direct at me as a way to take that fair chance away from numerous groups because they're racists and bigots. Meaning they're not true Americans.

So the 300,000 white men that died freeing the slaves is irrelevant? The white men that founded this national are racists, and the white Republicans that pushed the Civil Rights Act legislation in the 60's are also irrelevant. Try to read other stuff besides the Nation of Islam textbooks.

I know enough about Constitutional Law to have my own opinion on this before reading the majority opinion.
