Observations: 1 team can beat Bama

    The top of the SEC would've manhandled FSU and Fisher the past couple years. FSU is better this year but still not as good as the top of the SEC. Dipshit.

    USCe team won the east the year we played them(also beat Bama)

    That South Carolina team lost 5 games that year, and the SECe was way down. It was a good win for Florida State though.

    Coulda, woulda shoulda means nothing. There are few teams on par with Bama as far as talent goes and FSU is one of them.

    Edit: And I never stated FSU would beat Bama this year or next.

    Bama is on another level, but FSU could beat every other team in the SEC THIS year if they played.

    It's pretty silly to say that FSU isn't close on the defensive side in terms of talent. But, to say that they're close overall is still a bit of a stretch. Great teams don't get upset by middle-of-the-pack ACC schools.

    Talented and freakishly athletic? Yes. Anyone who argues that is just being argumentative.

    Tough enough to stand in there for 60 minutes with Bama? Right now only LSU is, unless we're not playing well or as focused as we need to be.

    I agree that LSU's offense appears to be horrific, but I think it only seems that way. They still play a style of football that no one in the ACC really plays, at least not on that level. It will take a meltdown by us with turnovers and sloppy play to lose to them. But make no mistake about it, they're physical enough on both sides to beat just about anybody up. They'd win the ACC with ease.

    I think they'd win the ACC with ease. I think they'd beat FSU by about 10-14 pts and the Noles would struggle to get 10-14 themselves. ACC teams just don't see front 4s and secondaries like what LSU and Bama plays with.

    We finished 4th in the West that year. Auburn, Arkansas, LSU, Bama. USCe played an outstanding game against us and simply beat us, no argument there. I still think if you lined up FSU from 2010 against any of the top 5 teams from the West that year (MSU included), FSU would've been an underdog to all except MSU which would've played them very close.

    FSU beating 3 SEC teams, all with 5+ losses, means nothing as it pertains to their actual strength as a football team under Fisher. They would've finished middle of the pack the last two years in the SEC. This year, they'd fight it out for 2nd or 3rd with LSU, UGA, etc. They're getting better and I expect them to be in the national title race next year (but I've said that before).

    The reason for my sarcasm/name calling was because trying to use 3 wins over SEC middle of the packers as some sort of bragging rights was laughable.

    Many do play a FCS team. But they choose to do so, just like FSU did. They chose to play a horrible opponent. Don't cry when you get stuck with a second one and complain it is not your fault. If is obvious FSU has no problem playing a crap OOC schedule or they would not have scheduled Murray State.

    The bottom line is this - every team in the SECe had 5 losses or more in '10. SC beat the 4th place team from the west and got boat-raced by the 2nd place team that year.

    They were NOT a "top" SEC team that year ... they just happened to be the only team with an SEC record above .500 in their own division.

    Facts do suck.

    Well again, I don't think we can beat Bama this year or next.

    My response about 3 victories over SEC teams was in response to the pathetic flame attempt by hubcitytider where he acts as if NC State beating us was the norm instead of just some fluke.

    I stand by my opinion that FSU could beat any SEC team this year outside of Bama. LSU would not scare me either.
