Okay aside from your excuses because both teams can play that game. I see you fail to mention the penalties that kept you in the game. Or Keshawn Martin's dropped TD. We were the better team. period.
So let's get this straight. One poster talks about how you are not going to win a national title getting "blown out". Now MSU loses to ND and Nebraska in probably their worst performances of the year. 21 and 18 points. ND was a lot closer than that but that's what the scoreboard said. Fair enough.
The only problem with this is that a Michigan poster is referring to these losses as why MSU can't compete for a national title. What happens when Michigan loses to MSU? Hoke gets a 49% chance at a title? It doesn't add up. Let's hear a different reason other than 247 sports recruiting rankings says so. It'd be nice for a different angle once in a while.

The honest answer is that Dantonio is established going on year 6. I am guessing the consensus is that he has peaked at MSU. Hoke is coming off year 1 at Michigan. The consensus is that's just a starting point and Michigan will get better.
Just an opinion man.

So just because it's the consensus it will happen?
If you want opinions, I don't think Hoke has proved much yet. I mean, proved to be a decent coach, yeah obviously. But right now, his best win is at home against Nebraska. To jump to the conclusion of winning national titles and beating MSU for decades straight seems a bit premature, no?

This whole thread is the opinion of which of the 3 coaches will win a national title first. No one said it would happen. I was just trying to give you reason why a lot of people are putting Hoke over Dantonio. For what its worth, I put Meyer as the most likely to win one first.

I see losses to Bama and either MSU or OSU. I doubt Hoke will lose both of these games. No offense or flame intended, but Robinson will hold Hoke and Borges offense back. He can't throw with any consistency and accuracy. Once he is gone, I see big things happening for you guys.

Guy is a freak of an athlete and will be a very good WR on the next level. Hoke and the offense is hindered because of Denard. I believe 2014 will be Michigan's year to make a run at the natty.

Jesus we in the big ten really are full of ourselves. How many have we won in the past 40 years? 1 & 1/2 ? Nice, let's see who could possibly compete for one. Ok
1 Meyer. He's at Osu the NCAA doesn't care if they cheat, he's the leader
2. Dantonio, a couple plays here and there and Hes got a punchers chance. Of course snowball in hell come to mind. He's building but damn, it's hard.
3. Hoke. To be the best in the nation let's first be the best in conference. To be the best in conference let's first be the best in your division. To be the best in division let's first be best in state. To be the best in state let's first be best in a 90 mile radious.
But we're talking NC's and we have the sec and USC to contend with. Are we really that arrogant or just blind?

No, not at all. It just happens to be The best in those categories. I'm not so arrogant that I can magically say after 50 years of futility the big ten will somehow be this big player fo a NC. Last year we had no team to compete with LSU or Bama and yet we're here saying we might win one in a couple years??? Will bama LSU and those teams stop recruiting and coaching them up? I can see why other conferences think we're arrogant pricks. We live in fantasy.
