I'm going to say 71 Nebraska vs Oklahoma. I've heard a lot about that 1971 Cornhusker team as the best single college football team of all time, I think it would have been awesome to watch them play.

  • Even as a Bama fan I would say that I hoped for a little better game but did like the out come of the BCSNCG.

Hard not to put the USC vs Texas BCSNCG on the list. I hate both teams but it was a hell of a game to watch.

Ohio State vs Miami 02....More NFL players between the 2 rosters than ever before in any college game ever...double OT for all the marbles....or Texas vs USC.

You meant to say.....I hate good defense. Before you or any other moron wants to talk about how shitty our offenses were, go look at our average points per game against all the other teams both teams played. Yes both of our defenses were just that good. Deal with it

nada brother... that game felt good for an Alabama fan (as it should)... the rest of the country was sorely disappointed by the lack of preperation or torn locker room or whatever it was that made LSU nowhere near the "team" they had been all year.... Congrats on the victory, but that was the all time worst Championship game ever played...

Agreed, hyped beyond belief before the matchups, but were just terrible football games to watch.

    Miami wasn't robbed in '02.

Ohio State won that game prior to OT. Chris Gamble caught a pass for a first down that would have allowed OSU to run the clock out. He was ruled out of bounds. The replay clearly showed he was in bounds but there wasn't any replay (to change calls) in '02. Ohio State got completely screwed on that call.

Not to mention that Gamble was clearly held on the play. That would have been an automatic first down.

In reality, Ohio State won that game 17-14.

The tears from the cryami fans still taste sweet though.

    Play

Ohio State -vs Miami Hurricanes (Forget th...

Forget the pass interference call in OT, even though all official responses were that it was the correct call. The game should never have made it to OT, in fact, as illustrated here the game should most likely have ended in regulation if any one of two "bad calls" on the Bucks had been correctly made. On third and six with just over two minutes to go a first down catch was not awarded nor was a holding penalty called during the same play. Either, if made correctly, would have resulted in a first down and OSU coud have run the clock out or gone up by a minimum of six points. The 4th down punt resulted in a UM 50 yard return and a tying field goal with :03 on the clock. So, all the haters can get off of the interference call and just back up to 2:40 of the fourth quarter to see the real injustice. Never the less see for your self, I look forward to your responses.

Of all the game of the centuries... didn't say this century... but year

-I don't deny I would rather FSU have all those titles but I'm glad my rivalry is relevant enough that we played each other to figure out who was going to a title game... and a few times we effed up with bad kicking and a few times the refs didnt want u to win...

  • Penn State/Miami. 1987 Fiesta Bowl. Game of the Century.

Miami was a far superior team, but that POS Sandusky called his "magic" defense (the original zone blitz) and caused heisman trophy winner Vinny T. to throw 5 ints in the Lions upset victory. The game garnered a 24.9 share, which is still the highest TV rating to date.

I still say that Miami team was the most talented team NOT to win a national title.

Well, I think the rate that those 08 players are flaming out in the NFL is telling. Miami had some damn fine talent on the 87 squad... Michael Irvin, Vinny T., Blades, Highsmith, J. Brown... I still think they were better than USC in 08.

    #1 Ohio State (11-0) vs. #2 Mich*gan (11-0) 2006 - final score 42-39. You couldn't script it any better.

nerd No question the talent on the Miami squad. But, they are disqualified for excessive pay for play I'm my rule book.
