Office jobs seem like a horrible way to

i work for an engineering and surveying firm...right now our surveyors are hacking through the woods in a heat index of 110....I'll take the desk job.

You keep surfing the web and posting here and you will find yourself working at a fast eddie's oil change. If your bored with nothing to do, make yourself useful. Get up walk around the office, ask people for tasks, find work to do. Make yourself an assett, not a liability. You won't be happy and eventually your boss won't be happy if you are just sitting around all day. They can walk by only so many times seeing you doing nothing before they realize you truly are doing nothing.

I grew up working outside, especially being from Louisiana.. Construction, roofing and all that growing up... It only sucks working inside for Summer.. When winter rolls around an inside job is worth it.

You must have missed the part where I said you need to make yourself an asset. Sitting with your thumb up your butt isn't going accomplish anything.
You need less should I's (should I quit my job, should I workout, should I eat my sister's sammich). Sack up, talk to your boss about what needs to get done, and get it done.

Then do it. No one is forcing you to work where you work. I live in Michigan and have worked outside for 3 winters. Worst 3 winters of my life.
