    you're trying to equate "a QB speared in the throwing shoulder by a DL" to "every time the QB gets hit hard".

    An outrageous and hilarious attempt at oversimplification.

    Speared requires the defense player to be layed out which Dareus hardly was.

    Good try though. He hit him hard and Colt unfortunately got a stinger. It sucked to see such a great CFB career end like that but it happened and it was legal.

    I've never even heard Texas fans call the hit illegal. But again continue

  • Some say that Sweet Dareus was too easy on Colt because he didn't want to harm him. And, Colt being the brittle string that he was, just tragically broke. Only an auNeck would think this was a dirty hit.

    To not be in a slightly horizontal position when "spearing" = rubbing your helmet on someone while bent at the waist. The player has to actually be moving also, bet you didn't know that. Spearing can't occur if player doing so called spearing is not moving his legs and is standing still. It's pretty technical, you probably wouldn't understand right away. It will come to you later though.
