That was really awesome. It was a complete blowout, but of course Russia's dominance on bars made it iffy for a while. I'm more shocked that just four years after winning the team gold, China completely falls off the podium.

I'm super excited for the all-around on Thursday, too. I'll probably post while it's happening, lol.

I'll be here. I got through work all day yesterday without getting any spoilers, and I think I will tomorrow too. I basically told all my coworkers to stay the eff away from me with any Olympic news.

Are you talking about Aliya Mustafina? As big of a fan of US gymnastics I am, I've also always been really intrigued by former Eastern Bloc gymnasts. Their routines, their look, their grace on the floor exercise, everything. For the longest time they had this air of superiority and confidence that I thought was cool. Henrietta Onodi and Svetlana Boginskaya were my favorites. Times have definitely changed though and the US is the dominant country in gymnastics and will be for a long time.

All-around competition tonight!
