A big part is teams finally started to cover him like he's a superstar. But, I have to think he's a major reason Jake has been so good. The defense has pinched towards G leaving Voracek in position to dominate games.
But yeah, if he's as good as many think he is he should still be doing more than he is even against more defensive pressure.

I think that not resigning Jagr was a mistake. He was a big reason that Giroux and Hartnell had the year that they had last year.

I'm with ya. I think they underestimated his value. But, at the time, there's no way I would have matched what Dallas offered him either.

IIRC Jagr wanted to come back but Holmgren went all in for Weber and could not commit to any contract until the Weber deal was resolved. That is when Jagr started entertaining other teams. I respect Holmgren.....he has a huge set. However I think that he made a mistake with Jagr.

Rangers vs Caps come on either NBC, ABC, CBS or Fox at 11:30 central.. It's on channel 1002 which is one of those type channels but not sure which one.. But everyone of you guys has that channel so if you want to watch some hockey in an hour, tune in!

Very true.. But to be fair, the 2nd penalty was soft and shouldn't have been called.

that hit was ennis turning into the boards... that's that new school puss hockey, where you try and draw that penalty by taking a hit badly.

Blackhawks Oilers game has been wildly entertaining. Hawks were asleep the entire first period and found themselves down 4-0. After two they pulled within 6-4. Now 6-5 with the Hawks going to the power play.

No Chicago is nice and not nice all in one. Those are good games to watch, but it will be nice not having to go against them.
I don't think the division's weak though. Florida and Buffalo suck, but the other 4 Northeast teams all have more points than Detroit this year.
