Official South Alabama introduction to TBB

As many here might already know, South Alabama of the Sun Belt was recently added to the 247 Sports Network. So far we love it here! I've been posting on TBB for a couple months, and while there was a welcome thread for us when we were added to the site I felt I'd give you guys a proper introduction. Feel free to ask any questions you might have about USA and in the meantime, enjoy the USA triplet cheerleaders!

I think in just a few years USA will be ahead of Troy. We have so many more advantages than Troy that it should only be a matter of time. As USA improves you will probably see Troy and USM decline (this is already happening).

Don't talk about Troy like that. I'm from close to there. on a side note I told one of my buddies that a year or so ago when it came out they were moving to FBS. They have Mobile and I-10. Troy has, well nothing. Except Demarcus Ware and they will ride his coattails until the end of time.

Troy is like a cult. Had friends go there in college, never to be seen again. Those folks love their program.
USA has some inherent disadvantages to -- no on campus stadium, a largely commuter college, some of the scariest dorms in the country (in terms of crime rate).
Don't know about other alums, but I'll never give money to USA. They left a sour taste in my mouth, and offered 0 support for me in post-grad services. Hell, I know one of their largest donors (has his picture in the last alumni newsletter) that will also stop giving money, as USA just gave a huge roofing job to his competitor.

South Alabama might be new to football, but we aren't new to Division I sports. We've held our own against Alabama and Auburn in other sports. Most people care about the big 3: football, basketball and baseball. Obviously we haven't played either team in football, but here are our all-time results against Alabama and Auburn in the other two sports. I'll throw Michigan State in there too since I see you're a fan of MSU:
Baseball:
48-56 all-time record against Alabama
47-23 all-time record against Auburn
3-0 all-time record against MSU
Basketball:
1-2 all-time record against Alabama (our win was in NCAA tournament)
4-5 all-time record against Auburn
0-2 all-time against MSU
I'm proud to be a South Alabama fan.
