    I was just replaying KOTOR and I was trying to figure out who they would follow if they did an Old Republic movie. It would be cool to see a Star Wars film through a Sith Lord's eyes and Darth Malak could be a cool main character.

    There will be stand alone films. Already rumors of a seven samurai adaptation in the Star Wars universe. Sith story arch is plausible.

    Abrams also denied involvement. Disney will absolutely be making stand alone films. Would be foolish not to.

    There is no way they release 2-3 films a year. That would lead to over saturation in a hurry.

    That's what I thought but then on an article about it they were stating Disney wanted to do it like they have done the Marvel films which release 2-3 a year.

    Disney bought the franchise to make money and that is what they are going to do. While to the fans of the series it will seem like too many for us to process if they were to do this they would continue to bring in about 1B every movie they make like Marvel does with it's top tier films. I think it's very possible and could be epic if done right. There will be some bad movies made though if this happens which is sad.

    Theres already been a couple bad ones made. The first one (1999) was just God awful. Jar Jar Binks? Really? And then for the second one they hire Hayden Christiansan?? Terrible casting.

    Or does that go along with what Synder declined?

    If that happens, it won't get cranked up for a while probably. Abrams made it clear that he wasn't holding firm to a 2015 release date. He does not want to rush production, and for that I'm grateful. I think it will be plausible to bring in big time directors for stand alone films once the new trilogy gets cranked up. I could see there being a movie every year, but 2-3 a year is a bit much.

    coffee Disney could give two s***s about ruining or overdoing something. They are a machine and once started they will not stop. Star Wars will be highest grossing film franchise two films in.
