I think the general idea is a good one.

I'd rather see players all have to take a mandatory money manegment class as a requirement to graduate (or be eligible to play). Incorporate this policy into the class.

I don't think so. If you're going to get a full college ride from the school itself (along with other benefits), I don't see any wrong with the institution getting to lay some ground rules, i.e. what they get to monitor, what the student athletes' responsibilities are, etc. If this is too much control, can't you make the argument that not letting a player sell his own things is too much control as well (which is ultimately what caused this increased focus on compliance)?

I like it and when it's explained to them as a life tool hopefully they will be receptive to it. It's not like the school can mandate what you spend your money on but maybe it'll help some kids make wiser decisions.

I don't think it is right for OSU to do that. I'm all for compliance, but that is an invasion of privacy.
