Probably because he doesn't want lynchmob coming to his house escpecially after LTT got death threats for burning a piece of paper.

I'd be very surprised. We're hearing he's intent on taking his officials.

Exactly he's said this numerous times. He plans on using all of his official visits and wants to get down to Bama also..

  • I would point out this is technically our first miss with the kid.....we got him the first time.

  • I wonder if Penn State is going to have room for this kid, we have one linebacker committed, and it seems that Benton and Zayd Issah are very close to committing as well. That said Anzalone is a pure OLB, and of Bell, Benton, and Issah only Benton is a better prospect (IMO) and many project him inside, and I think Anzalone is a better prosepct than Issah.

Barring Trey Johnson decommitting or Newby pulling a suprise, we will have room.

3-4 MLB is much different than the 4-3. As an example, Navarro Bowman played at an All-America OLB for Penn State, but in the NFL is an all-pro MLB in San Fran's 3-4. You have to be a lot more rangier as a MLB in a 3-4 - and Anzalone's speed, strength and athleticism makes him a perfect for either a 3 - 4 MLB, or a Strong-Side OLB in a 4-3.

You think we'll take 4 Linebackers?

I can't say I've really read this thread, but this is on point with the differences between 34 and 43 LB. 34 ILB are expected to be able to cover more space, whereas a 43 MLB is expected to be more of a run stuffer.
