i went to the game two years ago when it was at osu with my buddy who goes to school there. We were hammered by 8am and i had to sit in the osu student section haha. I of course was covered in Michigan gear from head to toe. When i came out of the tunnel to go up the stairs i think the entire shoe saw and booooed me. About the 4th step up i fell on my face, much to the liking of the osu fans, it eased the mood haha. My message here is the people treated me great! Going into it i was a little scared, most people told me to f myself but then slapped me on my back and appreciated my loyalty to my team. Of course there where a few crazies who if there friends weren't holding them back i wouldn't be here posting today haha, but every team has those fans. Both these teams have great legacies and we are fans of the greatest rivalry in sports!!

lex, i had the same experience in the big house for the last 2 osu/um games...
last yr the fans were more pumped up then in 2009 (before the game), but very, very cool...
even at the bar afterward, the place erupted in boos when we walked in, but then we were buying drinks for eachother and enjoying the rivalry and talk of THE GAME

Im glad you received the same hospitality that i did. We should hate each other (in the sense of the rivalry) but respect each other. Seeing what happened out in cali with the giants/dodgers is such a reality check, its just a game!! I know sometimes a have to stop and remind myself of that.
Man just thinking about football season is driving me crazy!! Can we fast forward to Sept please!!

OSU should crack the top 10 (the pick up of Tracy Sprinkles almost guarantees that), but UM has a very good chance of ending up in the top 3. It's really hard to see Urbie reaching Hoke's level of recruiting. Hoke is just on too good of a roll right now.

Unfortunately, for every 10 stories like this there is one bad testimony that sticks out like a sore thumb and is interpreted as the norm. The last few years have definitely lightened the mood and intensity of the rivalry so that may have played into the warm(er) receptions. I'm going to try to go to The Game in Columbus this year. I'm hoping that people are civil enough that I'm not physically harmed (I expect the verbal taunts).

I don't mean to fan the flames here on a subject that has been debated back and forth between OSU and UM fans, but I'm still scratching my head over the Taco Charlton rating. I have no problem conceding to Michigan fans the talents they have gotten in some other Ohioans such as Thomas and Smith, as well as an o-line haul for the ages, but I still need to understand how Charlton can be rated so high. I see a 5* body, but a 3* football player. I realize he has looked good in camps and his physical tools are ideal, but it has always been my understanding that camps were mainly used to verify the player you see on film. It seems the other way around with Taco, using camp performances to justify a high ranking while disregarding his mediocre film. If there is some film out there that someone thinks justifies his rating, please post it. I am very open to changing my opinion on the guy. But having seen him against Moeller, St. Xavier, and Ignatius he is more size than substance at this point. I won't throw out the terms "soft" or "Jane" when it comes to he guy (because I don't think he is), but I have never been wowed by the kid on the football field to think that he could be considered one of the top guys nationally.
I am also confused as to why the 247 staff sees him as an OLB. I haven't seen any film of him playing OLB. In fact, when Pick Central plays in their 3-4 defense (which they frequently did last season) Taco comes off the field. I'd really like to hear one of the 247 staff members chime in about this guy.
