Actually if you knew anything about our past with the NCAA you'd know we've only ever had 'major' violations 3 times. And I believe it's been like once a decade for the last 3 decades.
So it's really a myth that we've 'been cheating forever' and has mostly been perpetuated by butthurt barners. But apparently the ignorance has extended to 'We Rape Children State.'
Auburn on the other hand, has had major infractions 7 times I believe.

"Back then corruption was wide spread from the NCAA on down, everybody broke the rules and depending upon where you stood in the good old boy network decided who was going to be made example of. Nobody and I mean nobody liked the success that this little school from a little town in the middle of a small and sparsely populated state was having so it only stands to reason that the NCAA witch hunt have sufficient help from jealous snitches at more powerful and equally corrupt football schools to put the fledglings back in their place but the stiff punishment you speak of could not happen because the whistle blowers could also be punished by the precedence they helped to set if the shoes were reversed."
This is a total joke. Back in the 1950's there was no cheating.....yet. Oklahoma pretty much invented it, especially to the level of paying out the equivalent to over $2 million dollars in today's money to players and their families. It is all well documented and admitted by Sooner coaches and players.
Again---why weren't these games forfeited and why is this record still recognized?
