    All of those championships were before Ark and SCar joined in '92. Other than Nutt's success a few years ago y'all haven't done too much.

    First of all, Nutt's success at ole miss was strictly bc of the talent on the team brought in by Coach Ogeron. Before that we had Cutcliff that was 44-29 from 99-04. I get the argument about the lack of success to an extent but we haven't been 2-10 every year since the 60s. We have had moderate success.

    Schools that chant "SEC SEC SEC" and are the bottom of the food chain (Ole Miss, Vandy, etc) are a joke by saying that

    BRB we don't have any accomplishments in our own name so lets brag about how we play schools that destroy us every year then go on to win Natty titles.

    Freeze was actually brought in bc of his connections in the Memphis area so he could help recruit. Memphis is a hot bed of talent and basically in-state recruiting for Ole Miss.

    Not to discredit significant contributors to this network but at least one of them has essentially said Memphis is a craphole to recruit in, regardless of the talent there.

  • Ole Miss had a nice class regardless how they landed those guys, that's the good part. Now you get to watch those good recruits continue the long tradition of getting destroyed every Saturday by the Big Boys of the SEC who have 4 or 5 of those type classes, that's the bad part. But hey yall have never lost a party!!!!

    Memphis area is the shadiest area in the country for recruiting HS kids. Coaches, teachers, advisors, and handlers all have their hands out. If you are trying to legitimize your defense here you shouldn't mention Freeze and Memphis together again.

    I dunno about that, after Jordan Diamond and Auburn last year and now Treadwell and Ole Miss this year, I'd say Chicago is up there. Not to mention Obama is from there.

    Freeze isn't going anywhere. He's from MS and Ole Miss is the job that wanted and he's not leaving no time soon! As far as that .500 record you're talking about you don't know how these recruits will pan out or what their record will be. Is this not how Saban built Alabama into the powerhouse they are?

    I have been sitting back and just listening to rumblings and accusations for the past few weeks. Now that NSD has come and gone I feel I can no longer hold my tounge.

    A little background to begin... I am from around Jackson, MS have grown up a as a Rebel fan all of my life. The main reason is that my dad played there from 82-85 and was a GA in 86. I know most of you won't care but just setting the scene.

    What the Rebel staff has been able to do has been very exciting and hard to believe at times even for me at the start of the year. But if you take a look at the class you can begin to see connections that definately helped. Many people have been up in arms about us getting Tony Conner, RNK, Tunsil and treadwell. Conner is from Batesville and played at South Panola which is a pipeline school for Ole Miss. RNK has a brother on the team who is good in his own right, so that was a foot in the door there. Treadwell's best friend is on our team so again foot in the door. Lastly, our staff has been on Tunsil for a while now, it wasnt as though we just came out of nowhere and started recruiting him.

    What Ole miss has to offer is first and formost, SEC football. Plain and simple we have depth problems so there is early playing time. The city and campus is just beautiful and welcoming. Other than rings and a huge stadium, Ole Miss offers everything that any SEC school does (excluding Alabama, Florida, and LSU).

    So to wrap all of this rambling up, Hugh Freeze and the rest of the staff worked their asses off to do what they have done this year. I doubt we will continue to recruit like this in the future bc of all tue fortunate situations and connections we had this year. I understand that you will say it doesn't matter or you dont care that Ole miss did this bc we will continue to have 6 or 7 win years... thats fine, keep that state of mind and I hope your team does that too and just overlooks us. We will see what the future has for this class and Ole miss' program. Would love to hear the rebutle to this post. Hotty Toddy

    You cheated. ole piss has zero history outside of like the 1950s decade. Tunsil was recruited by Bama and Uga for over a year, he visits you one time and all of a sudden it is amazing. Don't site atmosphere, it isn't that great. Your stadium sucks, holds what 50k people? Those are the facts.

    He signed and continues to sign classes with 20 good players, not 5. Something ole miss will never do. That doesn't even taken into account the development of said players.
