Derrick Thomas had an NCAA record 27 sacks in 1988 & finished 10th in the Heisman race.

Teo has no chance to win it. Manziel is winning by a ton. They were saying it will be right behind newton in terms of the vote..... So around 7th highest vote total ever

I feel like "intangibles," which have no real measuring stick, matter more and more to voters each year. I mean, that's the only reason Matthieu won DPotY while at the same time not being voted the best at his position, which ironically was given to a guy on his own team.

Kevin Minter also has better stats than Te'o but I guess stats don't mean crap anymore.
One thing, who won the Heisman during the year of that TAMU player? Because this years finalists are one of the weakest groups I've ever seen. You have to equate that into the discussion, IMO.
Danielle Hunter, Jamario Rasco, Anthony FREAK Johnson.. DL wrecking crew of 2013.
