Let's assume Bama wins out, as well as Oregon, KState, and ND. We will most likely see Bama v. Clemson or Bama v. Louisville or some such game in the Sugar. Meanwhile, we'd see ND playing someone like Nebraska in the Rose or maybe OU again in the Fiesta.
Would be pretty sweet to see the next 2 and the next 2 after that playing each other in bowls, even if it doesn't affect the championship. Bama v. ND or Bama v. KState would be fun matchups to see. Or, say UGA wins out...sub them in place of Bama in all scenarios. Just seems like a buzzkill to see Bama/UGA v. Clemson/Louisville.
Maybe I'm wrong. Thoughts?

100% agree... and I think next year is when that starts. But not this year.
The selection order this year is Fiesta, Sugar, Orange.
If the BCS Champ game is oregon vs k-state. Then...
Rose - Big Ten Auto (nebraska) vs #1 selection (replacement for oregon - probably a Pac 12 team due to close ties) Fiesta: #2 selection (replacement for k-state - notre dame) vs #3 selection (???) Sugar: bama vs #4 selection (???) Orange: ACC Champ (fsu) vs #5 selection (probably big east champ - louisville)
There is no way the Sugar would pick an sec team... so oklahoma??? Not sure.
Would much rather see bama vs notre dame... not gonna happen.

Of course it would be awesome to have 1v2, 3v4, 5v6
Last year we had that, and the Stanford-Okie State game was great
One thing I have to add is expecting things to "stay as they are now" is ignoring history. College football has a way of figuring itself out, and going 12-0, 13-0 is very, very hard, as Bama learned yesterday.
Oregon's 3 week season features 3 teams that are all worse than them, but fatigue/focus could become a downfall KSU plays Texas, and Texas at their best can match up with KSU. Not saying it will happen but it could ND still has USC, and of course that could be their downfall.
In truth, I think there will only be one undefeated team, and the UGA/Bama winner will backdoor it's way in

One thing I don't like about BCS bowl setup...
