Only one king of NSD this year.....

  • Last year it was split between Bama and FSU, USC has had a tie or two with UF, but Alabama trumped everyone this year.

Well done and great class. Even Bama lost guys they really wanted but replaced them extremely well. Everyone else got left at the altar in some regard without cover.

  • FSU's class is a really good class as well.

I am dang happy about this class....still just want to see LC's letter of intent though.

Lebron James will never be as good as Michael Jordan, thus we should get rid of his nickname, "The King".

  • Bama, FSU, UF, USC, and Texas all have great classes. You really can't go wrong with any of them

IMO Alabama has a tiny hole at the QB position. Not really impressed w/ anyone behind McCarron (who I really, really like)

It's a good thing they'll only need to score 7 points a game to win.

As awful as that game between us was a few years ago, IMHO it would be that good if we were to face off in the next couple of years. I'd love nothing more than to see Bama/FSU in Pasadena in '13.

It's a crazy class, but missing an elite QB. That's all I'm saying.

Sims is a good athlete, but really wasn't impressive in split/mop up duty (Pretty obvious McCarron is much better).

Behind Sims is Philip Ely, who is similar to Clint Trickett, so obviously you'll hate him too, and a legacy kid (Major Ogilvie's kid) on the roster too. A 3 star kid in the 2012 class isn't impressive either.

Alabama has the luxury of having redonkulous RB's and a grinding defense, which obviously makes a QB's job easy, but What happen if McCarron goes pro after the 2012 season? You have a sophomore Sims, with the aforementioned guys behind him....in the SEC W.

We'll probably be in the same boat when EJ goes down in 2012, but after that, I'm much more comfortable knowing we've got guys like Coker, Winston, Maguire.

    All really solid classes.

I wish we could land Young (very doubtful) and Diggs to close out.

We need another lineman and a playmaker badly.

    No doubt

    All true

But in case you haven't noticed Bama doesn't need an elite QB

Shit i think they could compete in the SEC without a QB

Really thought UF would close stronger. No JHC, No Nelson, No Leonard Williams, No Tracy Howard (biggest loss IMO).

Overall class is great. Folwer is a HELL of a player, and I'd kill for Jessamen Dunker.

But man ohhhh man. If you told me a week ago UF would go 0 for 4 on those players, I'd have laughed at you

Oh, and I'd put it in Jenn Brown's butt.

Any concerns at this point with that Letter still missing? Any chance he flips to LSU?

edit: Nevermind, reportedly faxed in at this point.

Howard hurt a little but DB was not a huge need.

Never felt confident about any of the others.

Yes. Sims is very capable. But it gets really iffy after him. We have to land a top flight qb next year.

Undefeated 2008 regular season with a 2* QB

Undefeated BCS Championship team in 2009 with a 3* QB

The QB may be the most overrated position in college football. There are very few shutdown corners in college and you really just need someone that can make good decisions.

The NFL is a different story. QB is the most important position on the team.

I would like to get a top QB in the next class, but QB's are so shaky. A very tough position to project from high school, IMO.

I do think that Coach has a great strategy of bringing in a good 3* QB each season regardless, as you would think that one of them will pan out and make a solid to good college QB.

I like Alec Morris much better than Ely from watching film.
