Oregon Offense < Clemson Offense

    Im taking Clemson

Andre Ellington is a better NFL prospect than Barner

The top WR for Oregon has barely 300 yards ( The Black Mamba )

Clemson has two players over 500 yards and one in Hopkins who is already over 1000 and has 13 TD's ( the top 3 for Oregon only have 12 TD's combined..... 3 players..... still not as many as Hopkins )

I also think we can all agree Watkins numbers would be better had he not missed 2 games

So WR is just hands down in Clemson's favor, I mean there really is no discussion when you factor in the rest of Clemson's core on top of those 2 ( 5 star Charone Peake and 4 star Martavis Bryant )

TE is close but Ford has more yards, TD's by 1 and catches.... than Lyeria..... its close, but Clemson has the edge clearly and Ford is a good one

QB is also close, but Boyd leads in yards but nearly a 1000.... yes, a thousand..... and TD's while Mario'ta has the edge in less INT's by 4 and completion percentage, barely ( 70% to 67% )

And I think the biggest difference, is Clemson proved it can put up points on a very good defense

Oregon has not yet done this

Im taking Clemson all day, the NFL talent is way more scary than a bunch of midgets out running terrible defense

This is a board for others to discuss their opinion

You can't deny any of the facts though

Clemson has faced a real defense and performed well enough to gain respect

    Oregon has not

Clemson has more NFL talent and better stats this season

Most will agree on these things for they are facts

And only a crazy person would think that doesn't = a more dangerous offense

  • How many times has Oregons 1st team come out at halftime? Could explain lack of stats

Why point out only passing numbers when Oregon is a run team and Clemson is a pass team? What does pro talent have to do with college football?

A little bit more than Clemson's has, maybe a game or two more

Ask americas DB's who they would rather face

    Hopkins and Watkins

    or

Addison, Hawkins and Huff, who combined don't have as many TD's and yards as Hopkins.... yes, 3 players combined don't have better numbers than Hopkins

And all the Oregon WR's are tiny little things, and not nearly as fast as Watkins and Hopkins

Pretty much anything you could compare, Hopkins and Watkins have the edge

Everything, if players are better than it needs to be taken into account

Barner gets more carries so of course he has more yards, Clemson is easily the more balanced offense though you are right

Most defensive coaches would say that is harder to prepare for no doubt

Clemson isn't a pass team, they are a balanced offense with a mobile QB who can also do both well

  • Clemson, they can be physical when they have to be. Oregon doesn't have to worry about that because no one hits anyone out there.

Deandre Hopkins is so nasty. Wish we were going to get him for one more year.

He is really effin good mane, like way better than anybody on Oregon's all time best roster good

  • Clemson and Oregon are about equally unbalanced. Clemson through the air and Oregon on the ground. If Watkins didnt miss two games it would be even more unbalanced through the air for Clemson.

Theyve both only played one ranked team and while FSUs defense is far better than USCs I have a hard time believing that Oregon couldnt put up 426 yards against them. Im not sure if Clemson can out up 730 on USC though

Also I think Mariotta is a better runner than Boyd.

I'm excited to see what he can do in the NFL. Doesn't have great speed, but he somehow gets open all the time.

Good discussion. I would give the edge to Clemson pretty much everywhere too, except at quarterback, which is probably not popular. But I've watched Boyd turn it over too many times and put his team in a bad spot. But I'll say any offense that put 35-plus on Florida State this year is pretty good, although they did struggle with a bad Auburn defense.

Sammy Watkins is the best player in college football. The Black Mamba would be a cornerback in the SEC.

Boyd does have the tendency to make some very elementary mistakes when he sees a lot of pressure. When he has time, his deep ball is probably better than anyone's in the country.

  • I don't know much about Oregon's OL. Who has the edge there?

    Most important unit on offense.

Oregon's is tiny is all I know

Clemson's did well against FSU, so they have proven it against a real front 4

Oregon has not, this is all we know for now

Dalton Freeman ( Clemson's center ) is probably the best OL on either unit

  • They did well the first half while they were jacked up, throwing the whole playbook at FSU, and the front 4 were playing sloppy.

Clemson OL was man handled in the second half though when the game settled down into more of a natural level of play.

    GO NOLES!

They're pretty comparable in terms of size and weight, but Oregon seems to rotate more guys up front, I would guess due to their pace. I'd say Clemson's a little more physical. But probably a push here.
