Oregon is averaging 12 more points per game 54 vs 42
Clemson is converting more in the red zone 95% 40/42 30 TDs 71% conversion rate vs 90% 50/55 44TDs 80% td conversion rate but Oregon is scoring tds more frequently
Oregons turnover margin is better +8 to +4 But clemson has turned it over less 12 vs 18
Clemson is converting 3rd down at a bit higher rate 54% to 50%
Hmm tough choice but I think the fact that Oregon is scoring more points, scoring more red zone tds might just give it to them. you know what Oregon is going to try and do and you still can't stop it.
Clemson is more balanced and may have more nfl playmakers but in terms of offensive efficiency I think Oregon wins but only slightly. Good topic for discussion though. I didn't it would be that close.

I also think its a good discussion
My thing is mostly a troll on stats, I don't really care about stats
If Im a defensive coach of a great defense like say Alabama, neither truly scare me but Clemson's is far more dangerous cause of match ups
Every corner in the world would rather cover a 5'8" midget like DeAnthony over a 6'1" speedster beast like Watkins
Clemson is more dangerous for this reason imo, cause their players can cause more problems against elite players
They have both played awful schedules and neither team is that good imo, and maybe Oregon beats Clemson
But if I had a choice of players Im taking 3 Tigers before I even consider a Duck, that makes them better to me... cause I prefer their players over Oregon's
Stats have little to do with it

Oregon's weak-tit receivers infuriate me but they serve a purpose. Barner goes down with a strong blast of ass... He gets these yards in large part because these receivers seal the fvck off the edges. I would be dancing in the streets if Barner won the Heisman, but in my head I know this guy isn't a first round draft pick and I know LMJ was far better.
Watkins and DAT are apples and oranges. But no corner wants to cover either IMO.

Yeah I mean your offense works like a surgeon, I disagree on DAT though
If I was an elite corner he wouldn't scare me as much as somebody like Watkins, and I know most have that attitude for Watkins can do so many things and does them better.... then you add the size difference and its a no brainer for me
DAT isn't really a deep threat and his blocking against somebody physical would be a joke imo
Remember Im talking about a elite defense here, one like Bama, LSU, FSU or UF
They all bring a kind of defense to the table that Oregon hasn't seen before and its my opinion that somebody like Clemson poses a greater threat cause sometimes somebody like Watkins just beats even the best.... there isn't anything you can do, Ellington and Hopkins the same thing
I haven't seen anybody on Oregon prove they can do the same, so until they do..... I gotta go with Clemson
Clearly the 2 best offenses in america though, thus the thread.... nobody else compares imo unless you are talking Bama who is probably the hardest to stop from doing what they do
Oregon fans can down vote all the want, its close

I have not seen one big board that has him in the 1st round, anybody that does is a moron cause he will be 3rd round at best
He is just another LMJ, maybe worse but if better its barely..... and LMJ ain't shit in terms of the NFL, cause he is built like a high schooler

I would probably agree in terms of talent, except Clemson has a better RB imo and Watkins is another wrinkle that can run the ball
USCw is certainly in the discussion for best offense, also worst defense
Overall I like Clemson better than USCw too, but its also very close

No but acting like Lee is that much better than Watkins isn't fair, and might not even be true
Lee has the better QB and gets the ball more in the pass game, both are elite
No corner wants any part of either of them, Hopkins or Woods either
Saying Lee is hands down the best player in america is just a USCw fan hanging on to whatever he can say to make him feel good, like you assholes are known for
There are all kinds of players that belong in the discussion and there is no telling if Lee will have the best NFL career at WR or overall

Ay yi yi. There's nothing "fair" about it. Lee is the best college football player in America. Hands down. If you are willing to concede that SC is in the running for best offense, you also have to come to terms with the fact that Lee consists of 80% of it.
On every conceivable level, as a football player, Lee is better than Watkins. Right now. To suggest otherwise is insane. We can't make judgements based on who might be better in the NFL, we can only base them on what we can see today. But given that Lee meets all the physical metrics of an NFL WR there's no reason to believe he wouldn't be better at the next level either.

What I see today is a number of WR's with Lee's ability, they just don't have the QB or play in the offense where they get 20 passes a game
Lee is great, but a hands down best player in america ? please man
There are very few who earn that title for me, Warrick, Bush, Harvin... Tebow and Young
Lee is great, but he isn't on these guys levels where its just obvious
