The guys I mentioned above as "suspended then transferred" were constantly getting in trouble. They would be suspended for a day or two, then back with the team. A week or two later, they were suspended once again. Saban gives the players a multiple chances to right their wrong's. In quite a few cases players have got out of his doghouse, but the one's I mentioned kept getting in trouble.

As far as "other", I elaborated on that one. Williams went on to play baseball.

If you don't know what DNQ means, then you don't belong on a recruiting message board. The guy never made it to campus due to grades.

    Gotcha - thanks

Haha. That's hilarious coming from a whorn. Your "tradition" is nothing but a big Texas-sized myth.

Nothing but a Myth, you mean like Alabama's MNC in 1978, 1973, and 1964?

    Alabama's Poll NC>Any other school's Poll NC

    Come Jan. 7th

Alabama's BCS NC> Any other school's BCS NC

You don't find any of this legitimate anyways, I don't see why I'm wasting my time.

Please, explain how the new rules changed how many players a team can sign? If they actually changed something, you should be able to do that, right?

What has changed is that the previous "enrolled" number + the current "signing" class must equal 50. Take the year Ole Miss signed 37. The day they signed, means the maximum that could have enrolled the previous fall is 13.

Before the rule, 37 could sign and it was just matter of making it fit the 25/85. What the effect truly is that you cannot take risk on marginal academic qualifiers and the practice of "grayshirting" has been virtually eliminated. Grayshirting was the practice of deferring enrollment until the next signing class was able to enroll. Meaning signing in February of year "x", but rather than starting school in September of year "x" but delaying until January of year "x+1". However, if somebody failed to qualify then the grayshirt was told he would be placed on scholarship immediately and enroll in the fall. This virtually guaranteed the programs enough insurance to bring 25 newcomers to practice every fall (assuming compliance with 85 number). So you could borrow against the future for risky signees before the rule and not feel the impact. Now, you must wait to recoup the loss until the following class.

Do you understand what objective and subjective means??? I don't think you do.

So you're telling me that academic standing, off-field troubles, and injuries are subjective?

Define "suspended then transferred", "other", and "did not qualify"

Sentimore was suspended for shooting fireworks in the athletic dorm.

I'm telling you that none of those things are included in the language of athletic scholarships. If you want them to be, you have to specifically cite the academic standing requirements (not too hard to do), the specific "off-field troubles" that would (very hard to do, next to impossible to cover everything) and the specific injuries (again, very hard to do) that would revoke the scholarship in order to make it object. Right now, it is subjective.

  • I over sign like crazy on NCAA.
