It's just a philosophical difference. The coaches that do it apparently are fine with telling a kid, hey sorry but you were just an insurance policy in case so in so didn't pan out, or sorry we mis-evaluated your talent level, you gotta transfer somewhere else.
I can see why Saban yelled at reporters " you don't need to know about this stuff, the people don't need to know." Clearly Saban was worried that people would dig a little deeper on this issue and discover Saban's losing battle with integrity. Then, several Alabama players said they were forced into taking a medical hardship and it confirmed that Saban had stooped to the lowest level.
I was hopeful that Kiffin would go the Saban route, considering what a scumbag Kiffin is according to tBB I figured he might go for it , just temporarily to make up for what the Nzaa did. But sadly, even Kiffin has too much integrity to stoop to Saban's level.
Which is really low. Makes me wonder- any of you guys know if Saban is part-dwarf?BamaLivesFootba ●

"I also had a great time at Texas A&M. I enjoyed being around their coaches and players, too, and the stadium and all of their facilities are real nice. On my visit it was my first time being there and it was great to see their fan support on gameday. I just enjoyed everything about them."
For the past few months, Sanders has put the Aggies on top of his favorites' list. Heading into his decision day, the Aggies still hold the edge with Sanders.
"They are still standing at the top of my list," Sanders said. "But there are great things about all three schools. Texas A&M has been recruiting me for a long time and were one of the first schools that came at me. On my visit they didn't push me to commit and they knew I was going to make my decision on Dec. 12th and they were cool with that. I told them I had to weigh all my options first and they understand my situation."
So how many can you take this class 34/34/35/36/37 ?

Taking Alabama as an example, people have been saying that they have only 9 Seniors this year. Let's just say all 9 are on scholarship, although maybe they aren't. Let's say Alabama currently has 85 on scholarship which is the max.
Alabama has 19 commits so far. So unless Alabama expects 10 underclassmen to declare for the NFL draft, they are looking at over signing by 10. I would expect it to end up at around 5 after a little attrition, but 5 every year for 4 years is an entire class of 20 within a 4 year cycle. That's a big advantage.
