Over/Under on T. Rich's 225 reps?

He isn't a big-time NFL prospect because of size, but John Simon of Ohio State would make Chapman cry in the weightroom. He will put on a show next year.

Chapman played half the season with a torn ACL...Chuck Norris couldnt make Chapman cry imo

Jesse Williams will crush the record next year.

I would make a sig bet that Simon puts up more than Williams, and at 40 or so lbs. lighter. Williams will be the better NFL player though. This is a kid who walked onto campus at 18yrs old already doing 40+. This is the only college kid in the country capable of beating Simon http://rivals.yahoo.com/arkansasvarsity/football/recruiting/player-Samuel-Harvill-64567; he is a sophomore at KSU.

  • The Simon kid has seen a needle or two in his day. He looks just like all my buddies who juice. Can't deny the fact that he looks like a beast though.

Wouldn't surprise anybody, his father is a well known local powerlifter and strength coach who looks like the Juggernaut.. He will put on a Taylor Mays-like show at the combine, but there isn't a ton of demand for 6'1" 275lb short-armed 3/4 DEs who aren't elite pass rushers. Good college player though.

The other kid, Sam Harvill at KSU, is the under 16 world record holder in the bench press. He did 64 reps of 185 at the Army underclassman combine, as a 15yr old high school sophomore. But he's like 5'10".

By making Chapman cry, you mean from laughing at his little numbers compared to Chapmans?

Lebron James will never be as good as Michael Jordan, thus we should get rid of his nickname, "The King".

Yeah I googled Simon and his dad looked like a ridiculous individual. I've heard of the Harvill kid before. Not sure I could do the bar 64 times.

Of late BAMA lineman have been downright embarassing at the combine. Andre Smith and Cody are the two biggest embarassments in years at the combine, and William Vlachos probably ruined his chances of an invite this year with how out of shape he was at the senior bowl. When they stop show up grotesquely obese and barely even able to make it through the drills, then I will start believing the weight room hype. Not that it matters, you play football in pads on a field not in shorts in a gym, and BAMA has dominated on the field. I will bet anybody here that Simon(next year) blows Chapman and Williams out of the water on the bench, and Ohio State is battling Notre Dame as my least favorite program in the country.

Take it easy man. I think that guy was just joking. I agree on Andre Smith but not so much on Cody. I'm one of the few Bama fans who's not a big fan of Smith. All the talent in the world but has to be one of the laziest humans alive. Cody is different. Look at all of te other NT around the league and tell me which one of them looked like they've been carved out of stone. Vince Wilfork has to be the sloppiest looking guy in the league but he gets it done. Now onto Vlachos. He's only like 6'0 tall and needs all of that weight to hang with the big boys. I've always thought he looked over weight but I think it's more of a product of his body type rather than his fitness. I do think Chapman has an incredible bench max but I believe he has pretty long arms which will hurt him in the 225 lift. I've heard Williams is a monster also but he's a bigger guy who has a great max but may not perform so well in the 225 lift.

There is no doubt recently our lineman have not done well at that testing, I will not argue that. However, I believe that Chapman is a completely different body type than those two. And was in better shape his entire time here than them, and neither of those two were claimed to be able to bench 595.
