  • Well I guess that means he can't be the President. -It was a gaffe it happens look at Biden
Good grief, what kind of country are we turning into. We disqualify a guy b/c he's not PERFECT.
BTW we have one of those "perfect" guys in the White House now and how is it working out.

Frankly, I don't disqualify him for that mishap, I disqualify him for the content of his rebuttal speech. He had a golden opportunity to set himself apart from the Tea Party, establish himself as a viable presidential candidate, and lay out his own presidential plans, and he instead toed the party line so badly that he really damaged his credibility as a new, fresh voice of the GOP.

Nothing at all, but McConnell is not exactly known for being a rock star in the party, and especially not more so than Rubio.

  • That has to be the biggest joke of a poll.

Hillary couldn't carry more than 35% in Georgia.
In the primary elections, there were 2:1 votes on the Republican primary versus the Democratic.
A good percentage of the state senate elections were either uncontested by Democrats or landslide wins (2:1) for the Repubs.

Georgia looks at the rest of the country like a bunch of political martians.
(and we don't care if you look at us the same way).

Hil-dawg is the most popular politician in America. If she runs for president, it won't be pretty for the Republicans.

She reminds me of somebody. Just can't put a finger on it.

Haha alright, we're on the same page, my bad.

In his defense, responding to the SOTU immediately after an election win is never easy, but damn - Rubio could've done a lot better.

And yet she's still the most popular politician in America. Imagine if she looked like Palin and could draw in the shallow crowd that votes solely based on looks? shrug

Most accurate poll of the 2012 elections. I'm sure it's just one big joke.

If he thinks using condoms is tantamount to murder like the Catholic Church then maybe he doesn't have a chance. But I forget, is he a Mormon or a baptist? I can't keep track of his religious "beliefs"

If the deep south bastion of red states ever cracks, that's it. Texas will be purple in 12 years anyways, but the irrelevance of the Republican party will be greatly accelerated if the South breaks open at all.

Complete and utter Bullshit. Texas will never be purple in my lifetime.

Demographers have the Latino population in Texas passing the white population around 2020. Throw in the rest of the minorities and a declining elderly population percentage around the same time and you are talking a pretty evident shift left in the Lone Star state.

Are you planning on dying any time soon? Otherwise, you might have to face facts. Texas has a constantly-growing Hispanic and young population, the older Republican base is dying off, and population centers like San Antonio, Austin, Dallas, and Houston are already blue. Most of the counties on the southwest Texas/Mexico border are blue and expanding inward. Face it, it could go purple sooner than you think.
