Oh wow, nevermind then. Darius Smith went two months past NSD without a single D1 offer. He's huge and gets in the way sometimes but he is what he is, flawed and not good. Maybe Curtis Porter is good after not doing a damn thing his first 3 years on campus, and dude you jumped the shark citing Briscoe.

LOL i was running out of names to mention.

I don't think either one makes it to the title game. Too expected of an outcome.

14-0 this year not 13-1 cry

Match-up wise, USC 2012 is a team built to beat a team like LSU.

1.) Losing Claiborne means you will have to cloud Honey Badger and your other corner. Neither one matches up outside with Woods and Lee one on one. That cloud opens up the West Coast game of slant, TE outs, FB outs, and shotgun dives to lull those clouds to cheat the LOS for the inevitable PA dagger outside with a combo TE seam. That LSU defense is built to feast on turnover prone qb's who can't read progress/audible at the LOS or one dimensional teams (plenty in CFB)

2.) A great qb that can pick apart a zone is kryptonite for the tampa 2. That zone forces your qb/wr combo to play perfectly against the zone that is all about stopping the run game. Who knows how the new qb will turn out, but unless he is very good this will mean a long nite for the LSU bread and butter power running game.

LSU will no doubt be a great team, and there will be many unknown factors that will play out before that game, but USC is a matchup nightmare for them, just as there are teams that conversely would be a matchup nightmare for USC (Oklahoma, Arkansas)

Why would Arkansas and OU, be a match up nightmare for you guys?

  • I have a lot of disagreement on that list. In the BCS alone.

Simon is another PP/Mo that is why he played outside corner a lot during the season. HB will get lite up one on one no doubt, but they would shadow a safety on his guy. Our LBs are better this year, thank god and our DL is as good as last year. Offense is the same besides QB which is a BIG ????????

I would love to see this matchup

As much as it pains me to say it. You guys are loaded this year. I hate your coach, most of your fans that I have met are Jack Holes, but you are definatly loaded coming into this season.

High quality QB's and WR's that can find holes in our zone. If you time it really well you can beat it.

  • I'm still shocked everytime I look at Miami's roster. The lack of quality talent and depth on defense is something I never thought I'd see on a Miami roster. Couple that with a not so hot outlook at QB, and Miami is in a tough spot just to win six games and make a bowl. Thats before sanctions are handed down, which I suspect won't be the "slap on the wrist" most Miami fans seem to be so confident in getting. It's gonna take some time and major patience from the Miami faithful before they're able to get that thing going again.

One thing I've always said about Miami fans is I envy their confidence. Those guys could have 35 true freshmen three stars eligible for a game against 2009 Bama and half their board would turn the game on expecting a close win. FSU fans, including myself, are far more self loathing and worrisome. Good for them.

And yes, their defense this year is alarming. While their QB, RB, and WR positions make you wonder who crashed the boat as well.

You guys are basically the same team as Texas. If either one of you runs into a qb watch out.

Who is said QB gonna throw it to?

UF will get there, no doubt, but 2012 is not that year.
