Because even backups get national championship rings.

    Highlander Movie Trailer

With the ultimate throw-down -- "There can be only one" -- Highlander captured the imaginations of fantasy fans seeking a well-executed swordplay epic, becoming a cult classic in the process. Connor MacLeod (Christopher Lambert) is one of a waning few survivors of a clan of immortals. The breed have been dueling each other for centuries in the quest to be the last one remaining, and hence achieve a supreme enlightenment that would be dangerous in the wrong hands. The immortals can only die by decapitation, so they hunt each other over the centuries and across continents to meet for each decisive duel, which will bring one of them a step closer to ultimate power. In present-day America, the troubled hero MacLeod lives a brooding and lonely existence, having lost his true love centuries ago. The evil Kurgan (Clancy Brown), an immortal who plans to use his power toward unspeakable ends, has fought MacLeod before but is still trying to finish him off. After emerging victorious from a parking garage skirmish with the third-to-last immortal, MacLeod knows that only Kurgan is left, and the two are on a collision path toward the inevitable. In the film's numerous flashbacks to the past, Sean Connery plays Ramirez, the immortal who first tutors MacLeod after the hero survives a mortal battle wound, prompting his fearful village to banish him. Roxanne Hart plays MacLeod's modern-day love interest, who tries to help him while struggling to believe his incredible story. The director's cut runs four minutes shorter.

Probably because the only other somewhat elite school to offer this kid a scholarship was Oklahoma State and he would have been their 2nd quarterback as well, assuming his offer even stood after the first quarterback commited

  • Saw McLeod play in person 13x last season. "Solid" QB but I'm completely miffed that Bama don't even give Josh Dobbs much of a look but offered McLeod. Not knocking McLeod but something is "awry" when the staff doesn't even really consider a kid originally from Alabama that IMO is the much better prospect.

I can only imagine Walton with Tyren Jones and Josh Dobbs at QB...........

    SMDH........

Bama fans......You can downvote all you like......I don't sugarcoat.......Real Talk!

Tell people what they want to hear, they will like you. Tell them the actual truth...they may not.

Because college costs a lot of money?

It's not like he's getting a good education from Bama anyway. I would go to BC if I were him, full ride, good education, cool city, and chance to win the starting job.

There's a reason Philip Sims left Alabama. It's the same reason that Dobbs nor Jennings were offered.

Agreed. An education from Alabama gets you an in with Alabama-managed employers, but doesn't really mean anything in the world outside of the state.

maybe he wants to marry a beautiful woman and live happily ever after...having lived in ann arbor 7 years, that is not an option at michigan. the kid is making a great decision.

Because with Bateman,Morris,McLeod, and Ely..,we wouldn't have to focus on QB in the class, like we have this year, again for awhile.
