People believed Joe Paterno molested children? WTF?

That's the scary part. Bottom line is this. No one knows what Paterno knew or didn't know. He can't answer for himself. But at the end of the day, its real easy to point the finger at a dead guy. It will be interesting to see what comes of this investigation that the Paterno family funded. Biased or unbiased, they have the right to do it & maybe it will uncover some things that the Freeh investigation missed.

I live here - true PSU fans do not give two Sh!ts about the kids molested - infact the majority contest that any of them were penetrated. The #1 reason the victims wanted anonymity was for the fear of harm from PSU fans. The boy at Bald Eagle who was a target of Sandusky was beaten up and threatened by adult PSU fans and called a liar. His mother had to relocate.

What they care about are wins, tailgating and the ranking of their program. The irony is that PSU fans feel like victims and are upset that nobody is hearing their cry for help....but they have money and lawyers willing to take their money to try and spin documents to prove defamation.

Sue Paterno may not feel her husband knew anything..most wives don't know what goes on in their husbands work lives - aside from what they are told - so she writes a letter from her perspective, probably drafted by Jay or Scott Paterno. The family is pissed about the defamation of their fathers football legacy - so most took the letter and proclamation of a law suit with a grain of salt.

But the letter itself insights the cult into a frenzy - Sue Paterno has supported many programs to help people and it comes from a kind woman who had the resources and free time to do such things off her husbands celebrity and financial power. Joe died of natural causes in his late 80's but the PSU fan will say "Freeh and Emmert killed Him"

But make no mistake - Joe was not a dumb old feeble man - he was the final word with everything in the program. JoePa was a control freak and never allowed any person to make decisions without his approval. Spanier answered to Joe when it came to the football program.

It is absurd that now - in this given situation - that PSU fan is actually playing Joe as the "foolish old man" victim card.

What they will not consider is that Joe, Spanier, Curley, and Shultz conspired to bury this story to protect the revenue generated from the PSU Football Machine. They knew the impact of what Sandusky was doing and what it would cost he program.

Think about this - everyone involved in the investigation has been criticized, discredited, and threatened by the PSU cult...fans rioting and destroying property and vehicles, fans threatening the victims and reporters (Cory Giger of the Altoona mirror received death threats), lawyers filing lawsuits without the support from the University, Tom Corbett using a law suit as a political posturing move to deflect his involvement...I can go on and on. I hear the kool aid talk every day.

Trust me the bomb will drop on Joe when Spanier, Shultz and Curley take the stand - but PSU fan will say in denial of what is revealed that "Joe is not alive to defend himself."

And no, I'm not gonna downvote you, even though you'll freak out again that I did like the last time you posted made up statistics from your own delusions.

Would you like me to ask on the PSU board if anyone believes Sandusky didn't rape children? Because I'll tell you this, the internet fans are the craziest and most homer people alive. So if your "majority of PSU fans" claim is accurate, you would certainly think a majority of the craziest people would agree with you? I bet 0 of the "contest that any of them were penetrated" but we can put it up for a vote.

I just think that maybe our "sides" are switched.

There could be a video of paterno telling everyone to "lay-off old jerry"... because "Well, I don't want to ruin anyones weekend" (well, except the 10 year old boys getting raped..they probably didn't have many good weekends in good old happy valley)...and the psu lemmings would still think that paterno is getting treated unfairly.

The fact that sue paterno is putting out her own report is hilarious. The fact that people will take it seriously is sad.
