It is probably a outside the box creative solution that all parties agreed on if its done this fast.
I doubt it well be any scholarships, loss of games or bowls. It will be revenue based

Am I the only one legitimately surprised about how quickly the NCAA has acted after the release of the Freeh report? I honestly didn't think they'd actually put forth a punishment until at least mid-season.

Pleasantly surprised. At least when it is a serious matter and not something that deals with money they can take it seriously.

Seriously, I have to imagine that the NCAA and its lawyers sat down during the entire time Freeh was investigating and came up with a bunch of responses to different scenarios, and that they just slightly tweaked their "worst possible scenario" response to meet the Freeh investigation report.

Read on a couple other sites that they will get a two year suspension of football and all the players will get full unconditional release and immediate eligibility. Doubt it will be that much, but if that happens that's the end of Penn St.

Just my opinion

They wouldn't rush to get penalties out if it was just financial. That will be a part of it, but going outside of normal process to just tell them they are losing money seems unlikely to me.
